Emma's POV
Yesterday Killian said he is dropping out and when I talked to him about it afterwards he said he doesnt want to talk about it. Well today Im gonna make him talk about it.
"Emma? You awake?" My dad asks.
"Yeah. Actually I barely slept." I say.
"Okay well Liam told me something and Im not sure how your going to handle it." He says.
"Killian is dropping out." I say.
"How did you know?" He asks.
"He told me when he decided to do it. Tell Liam not to worry because I'll talk some sense into him." I say.
"Dont bother. Liam actually thinks its better for Killian to just get is GED, because we all know that once Killian has some kind of diploma he wasnt going to college anyway." He says.
"So thats it Killian is just gonna drop out, get his GED, and then what?" I ask.
"Look Killian isnt like you he isnt like a school person. I should know because he in a way is like me. Emma he will be fine. I got my GED and studied online and now Im town sheriff. So.. If I can do it he can to." He says.
"Dad you had a baby at 16. Thats why you had to leave school." I say.
"No I dropped out the year before I got your mother pregnant. Just trust me if I think this is a good idea for your boyfriend and not trying to use this against him then shouldnt that be a good thing?" He asks.
I didnt know how to respond and when Killian came over we just sat in my room in silence.
"So your not gonna talk to me?" Killian asks.
"I dont know what to say." I tell him.
"Love, I know this is something you could never do, but this is what I want. I have always hated school and this year the only thing I liked about it was you. Besides having a GED isnt all bad." He says.
"Well what will you do with your life now. I mean your smarter then you give yourself credit for." I say.
"Swan, things will be fine. I promise you. Right now Im gonna be working at the animal shelter as the feeder and bather. Things will be fine. Everyone is on board except you. Will you please be on board?" He asks.
"If this is what you want and if this will make you happy then yes. Im on board." I say.
"This is what I want and it does make me alittle happy. But you make me even happier. I love you." He says.
"I love you too." I say and kiss him.
The kiss gets heated and Killian then climbs on top of me when my door swings open.
"If I hear no talking then your door stays open." My dad says.
Killian looked at me and I looked at him and I bet we are thinking the same thing. Which would be... How the hell does my dad do that?
