After learning the truth about Jessie and James, Clemont brings them with him to the castle. Together the three along with meowth had freed all the imprisoned villagers.  They had caught up with Ash and Serena. Clemont have them a brief rundown on what happened and Ash accepted Jessie as his sister. Clemont left to find Bonnie and Korrina.
Now we will join Serena and Ash who have made inside the castle, Serena is now lost in her thoughts...

It's almost time. I'm so close, I'm so angry! Poor Ash, he looks so confused. But I can't worry about it now, I've got bigger problems. To worry about. I've got mytheon, Braixen, I have others, but they're all I'll need. That's why I sent everyone else with Clemont to help in the fight against team Rocket and Nadia's army. I am so close. I can feel her aura, she's scared. Ahahahaha. Im glad. She should be. Im going to kill her.

As Serena made her way down the twists and turns of the hallways, she finally found herself outside the Queen's chambers.
Ash placed his hand on her shoulder. "Serena, I know that you don't have a choice. You have to face her alone. Just know, you can do this. I'll be right here guarding the door. No one is going in or out until it's over. No matter what happens, I stand by you 100%! I love you Serena." Ash cautiously wrapped his arms protectively around Serena's waist. He looked down into her honey brown eyes and looked at her longingly. He shivered when Serena slowly wrapped her arms around his neck and looked up at him with a softness in her eyes he hadn't seen in a long time. Slowly he pulled her closer until their lips locked. It was an embrace between them that neither had felt before. They both felt like this may very well be the last time they would embrace each other and neither of them wanted the moment to end. But they both knew it had to, they both had their battles to fight. Her against Nadia and Ash against Giovanni. Hesitantly, they both began to pull away from each other. They looked at each other one more time, not a word spoken, for no words were needed.
Ash turned and led Jessie James and meowth out of the cave before returning to watch tge door. Serena would have her fight with Nadia and it would be uninterrupted.

Serena waited until ash was coming back from leading JJ&M away. Once she saw his silloette she turned to face the doors. Tightening her fists she took one long breath and reminded herself what she was fighting for. Her mother's fave flashed before her eyes and it gave her the courage to continue forward. She looked back at ash one last time before finally opening the doors.
