6 Months later~
Maul was as nervous as any other father figure in the galaxy would be when their mate or partner was in labor. Although as he waited he wasn't the only one that was nervous. As he stood in the waiting room to be called in, Maul kept his calm exterior and watched his younger brother pace around the room. Maul ignored the ramblings of his younger brother as he faded away into his own thoughts. Maul just stared out of the window in the room that showed the hallway that they came from. He could hear Feral's worries about the child and Obi-wan and about what would happen to him if the child was his and not Maul's and about what would happen if it wasn't either of theirs.
Maul snarled as he couldn't concentrate on his own thoughts. He was trying to think of names for the child since he and Obi-wan never really talked about it much. Maul couldn't take Feral's rambling any longer. Maul marched over to his brother and grabbed him by his shoulders. Maul back Feral up and made Feral sit down.
"Shut up Feral! This is Obi-wan you are talking about! Everything is going to be completely fine! The child is Obi-wan's and that is all we need to know! What happened in the past... is in the past." Maul roared at Feral. The past is in the past, Maul told himself even though just the thought of what happened angered Maul and made him want to strangle Savage more than he did. Maul didn't care if his mother stopped talking to them for 3 months. Maul could only guess that she was ashamed or angry or upset that she didn't foresee any of it, or just that she didn't believe one of her sons could do such a thing, or she didn't believe that Maul would kill his own brother. Savage was no brother to Maul after what he did to Obi-wan.
"Brother," Feral's voice was rough and quiet, Maul could tell he was shaken by the act, but at least he shut up and stopped pacing. The growl stayed in Maul's throat and stayed as a quiet, yet guttural noise. Maul walked back over to the spot in the room he was standing at and leaned against the wall. Maul stared out of the window into the empty hallway trying to sense if anything was going to enter his sight, but there was nothing.
The noise in Maul's throat faded as he attempted to return back to his thoughts. Maul felt completely stressed out as he failed to go back to his thoughts. Instead, his mind formed new thoughts. Maul didn't know what it was, but something didn't feel right to him. The Force felt... out of balance. On this, of all days, Maul expected that the Force would be as strong and balanced as ever. Maul felt an odd yet slightly strong pull to leave the waiting room.
Maul heard the tapping of one of Feral's feet as his brother was still sitting in the chair. Maul watched him for a second. Maul knew if he made an attempt to leave the room Feral would quickly question him. As Maul thought further into it, he turned his head and looked at the door. Whatever it was, didn't feel dangerous, yet it didn't feel like it would be too kind either. It felt, luring. Maul shook his head, it was probably a bad idea to be running into situations that weren't of any immediate threat. Although, something in Maul's mind seemed to perceive this thing as a potential threat and should be sought out and seen to, to make sure if it's friend or foe.
Maul pushed the thought away and ignored the feeling. He cursed how long it was taking and wished for the doctors to come back and tell them that the baby was delivered and that they could go back and see Obi-wan and the child. Although, Maul couldn't help the feeling that they were being watched. Maul glared around the room, ready to pull out his lightsaber and demand answers of whoever was watching them. Yet as Maul's eyes scoured the entire room, all he saw were the chairs to sit on and side tables with a few holonet devices and his brother, Feral, sitting in said chairs and was now on one of those said devices.
Maul huffed as he attempted to relax as his brother did, but the use of the holonet seemed quite useless to Maul at this point. Perhaps a bit of mediation. Taking one last glance out of the window into the hallway and using his senses to see if anyone was approaching, Maul's attempt was fruitless. He then sat down and took his first of many deep breaths as he let himself slip into his mind. Maul could feel the peace return to him, yet he couldn't shake the feeling of being called somewhere.
Maul decided to take this time and examine this pulling sensation. It wasn't exhibiting any aggressive or docile features and the longer Maul paid attention to it, the pull slowly became stronger. Once again Maul abandons this feeling and let himself slip further into his mind.
