I land on the bed with a flop and Damian sits down next to me on the edge. My heart was beating so fast. I try to get a grip on my shaking hands.

I let out a nervous laugh. "I think I'm going to throw up." I try and smile but my chin trembles instead. Damian leans over and grabs my hands in his.

"Focus on me. We're in my room; you're safe. No one can hurt you." He says and kisses my knuckles. I let out a breathy, shaky laugh, and slowly tug my hands away from his grasp. I stand up from the bed and begin pacing back and forth around the room in hopes of tiring myself out to get rid of the adrenaline rushing through my veins. I clasp my hands behind my back.

"This is insane. I almost died a few hours ago, and for some reason part of me just goes ahead and shoves everything under a rug, but then another part of me thinks this is crazy!" I ramble on, throwing my hands around. "Don't even get me started on those inhuman creatures I saw in that room. That's absolutely nuts!" I weave my wingers into my hair and tug.

"You wouldn't've died. I would never let that happen." Damian insists then appears in front of my me and I nearly ram into him. He cups my face between his hands and stares into my eyes. "Do you regret forming a bond with me?" He asks and I frown.

"No, of course not," I sigh and rest my hands on his waist, "I'm just a little freaked out. I'll need time to adjust. This is all foreign. It's not everyday you get to see the Devil's head quarters." I say honestly. His head drops and looks at the floor and my heart clenches. "Hey," I gently lift his head to look me in the eye, "I don't regret spending a single moment with you, alright?" I say softly.

He pushes a strand of blue hair out of my face. I stand up on my tippy-toes and plant a kiss on his lips.
