I gulp audibly. My heart feels like it's in my throat and pumping through my ears as I feel muscular arms snake around my torso and pull me in towards his own body effortlessly. Heat immediately engulfs me; including helping the blush inevitably spreading across my pale cheeks. I can feel Nym growling in dislike at having someone else in my bed, but eventually he relaxes and goes back to sleep.

"I... uhh... umm... What are you doing?" I say stiffly. My shoulders tense as I freeze and try wiggling out of his strong grip, but obviously, that doesn't work. Jesus H. Christ, fuck the anxiety I have more pressing matters to think about, like, oh gee I don't know, how close he is to me!

"It was obvious that you were cold. Did you expect me to just stand around and watch you freeze?" He states quietly. So quietly I'm not even sure if I heard him properly over the blood rushing through my ears. Hot minty breath washes down my neck and I try not to visibly shudder.

I don't answer that, instead, I'm too busy trying not to focus on the fact that our legs were entangled. Who knew the devil liked to cuddle. I mean, honestly! My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. This was not how I thought this evening would go. Maybe I'm just overthinking everything, like how his hand was curled around my side, or how his chin rested on the top of my head, and... yeah I'm freaking out a little.

My lamp flicks off by itself and I have a sneaky suspicion that it happened on purpose by a certain someone. I try and close my eyes to go back to sleep but it proves impossible every time I get lost in my thoughts. Goosebumps appear on my skin with every breath the figure beside me takes, but not because I was cold.

"Shh." He shushes. I narrow my eyes at him through the dark.

"I didn't say anything!" I hiss back. You asshole, I know you can hear me!

I was growing tired of having my shoulders tense so I mentally say 'fuck it' and just relax into his embrace instead. After a few minutes of contemplating if I want my nose to freeze as well, I swallow my pride and turn to bury my face in the crook of his neck and shift almost impossibly closer. I lift the covers over us and my arm drapes over his side.

After what feels like hours; I'm finally able to slowly fall back into a dreamless sleep.

As I walk into my morning class; my mind still seems to be reeling from last night. First of all; I've never gotten three full hours of sleep before so that was a plus. Second of all, I want to just take a moment and appreciate all those couples in films where they make it look so damn comfortable to be cuddling up next to someone -because they hit it spot on. That was a plus.

I took my seat up near the top where I usually sit and try and focus on the professor beginning her morning speech at the bottom.

"Hey." An all too familiar deep voice beside me greets. I jump a little in surprise.

My eyes meet red irises and my brows raise. "Damian? What are you doing in my morning class?" I ask in shock. Heat floods my cheeks.

"I brought you a muffin." He says and my lips quirk up into a small smile. He hands me the brown package and I thank him. "Hell is stressing me out. I needed a break before I blew a fuse." He admits with a sigh.

"You're stressed out from Hell? Why?" I ask quietly as my professor begins her lecture. I take a bite of the muffin. A smile reaches my face once I realize it's chocolate chip.

"The population is increasing, which means the death toll is increasing. So when a large mass of people dies somewhere around the earth then that means more work for me." He explains and I nod solemnly. Damn, that's a little depressing. I would be stressed out too.

"There's a little restaurant I know of that's not far from here. Are you interested?" I ask, almost a little hesitantly. For many moments of silence, he doesn't say anything, just staring directly at me; as if figuring something out. A blush grows on my cheeks and I shift uncomfortably. "Unless you're doing something else, that is. That's not a problem-"

"Sure, some food sounds great." He thankfully cuts me off, and I can't help but smile.
