I ran over and hugged Darry.

"Oh Ponyboy we thought we lost you like we did Mom and Dad." Darry said through tears.

I woke up in my bed the next morning and I still had mt clothes from the following night on but so did Soda so I didn't think much of it.

I threw on a green shirt and some blue jeans then walked into the kitchen.

While I was cooking my eggs TwoBit and Steve came over.

"Hi." I mumbled not in much of a mood to talk.

"So what's it like bein a hero?" Steve asked me.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Look says so right here." He said pointing to the paper which was titled Juvenile Delinquents Turned Heros.

"What I like is the turned bit." Steve laughed.

"Lemme see that." I said taking the paper from Steve.

"Hey wait a minute. Their thinking of putting me in a boys home." I pointed out slamming the paper down.

"Oh come on Pony they don't do that to heros." Steve smirked.
