Moonlight passes through the cracks
Drawing constellations in space,
Waltzing with fractured shadows-
As I hold your piercing gaze.
You belong in galleries
A masterpiece of abstraction,
Painted still, in every stroke and shade-
Lost, beyond translation.
A mosaic of light and darkness
Beautiful, timeless and rare
That silent avalanche-
And all I can do is stare.
Yet, even snowflakes tremble
Falling into the seven seas,
Sometimes, perishing midair-
In helpless metamorphosis.
So, even if frostbite burns my skin
Frozen or in flames, blanketed by snow;
With every breath, I ache, you ache-
But please, don't let us, let me go.
