Midnight's lullabies
Sheltered my wandering heart;
Then we met again
When the breeze
Caressed my pale cheeks,
Briefly, underneath
Forgotten alleys
Of my shifting reality;
Yet, soon to depart,
As your threads cut loose
Halfway, through memories
Of my orphaned love.
