Elijah and I walk around as decorations are being set up and catering is pulling in.

"It seems like it's going to be quite the party, my prince, " Eli mentions leaning towards me as we keep pace with one another.

"It sure is. Let's hope that bastard doesn't show his face around me again."

"He won't until the moon rises. Hes not allowed to be near you until that point. He's under 24 hour watch by my men. He won't be able to take advantage of you again," he assures me with some bitterness in his throat.

"Thank you Elijah...that's definitely weight lifted from my shoulders." I sigh, running a hand through my hair.

"Today will be a good day for you. You'll meet your soulmate, then later you'll get married, bring alpha heirs into the pack. You're definitely not having two mates. You like...men too much." He hesitates a little.

"Or I like you too much...you're the only one I like and should I end up with anyone tonight...I want it to be you. I believe Brel imprinted on your wolf when we first met," I say quietly.

"Nonsense...there's no way..." Elijah scoffs and turns his head away.

"I believe there is a way...mate or not, I am bound to you, Elijah," I say, poking a finger into his chest.

"Then I suppose I'll have to shatter our bond...we will see at nightfall...." Elijah says sternly, separating from me and walking off to find the beta. I sigh.

"This is gonna be a long night..."

Hours later, people from all walks of life, all packs in the states have come to see me and my sister. There are many packs in the states and large ones at that. My pack is of the biggest. Dark Moon River pack, Night Dream pack, and The Tranquil Shadows Pack are the strongest ones besides my own. They are branches of us and the other packs are branches of them. Vicious Oak is our name and I'm supposed to be the next alpha of the pack...I'm shaking in my boots.

"Josilus!" Ross calls for me again, "The sun is going to go down in a bit. Aren't you excited?"

"No, I'm terrified."

"Dont beeeee~. You'll have a lifelong lover." He rubs my back.

"How can you be sure I'll be happy...?" I look at him with worried eyes.

"I feel like I'm going to find mine tonight..." I roll my eyes at him.

"Yeah okay," I huff. People are laughing, enjoying the music and dancing. The moon shall rise in an hour and the ceremony will begin. I have to find Elijah again. I want to be next to him when the moon rises...to find out if hes really my mate or not. I'm hoping he is.
My father has been overseeing the party. I feel bad for him...he lost our mother to rogues. She was was on a walk alone and it was within the territory. She was still carrying my sister and I in her womb and somehow some rouges were bold enough to cross the border of our territory and mom was so scared that she went into stress induced labor when they attacked her. Dad came a few minutes late, killing the rouges. He managed to get her to safety in time to have her give birth to us...but she used the last of her strength and died almost immediately after. We never got to meet her but we've heard stories and seen pictures. She seemed to have loved us very much. I walk to my father, gently planting a hand on his broad shoulder.

"Hey dad."

"Josilus..." He smiles a little, glancing at me for a moment before turning his attention back to the sea of people. "All these people came for you and Jrusila. Your mother would be very proud of how far you've come. Hopefully you'll be safe this time..." He sighs sadly, trying hard not to remember what happened all those years ago...
