To This Day I Will Not Go Into Town At Night

This is going to be very short but it really bothered me. Like, I still have a little bit of trouble sleeping at night because of this.

So I was with some friends, David, John, Alan, and Jack, and we were celebrating Jack's birthday. Now, while I personally don't smoke weed my friend Jack is a huge pothead. We went to a little hangout/party thing and everybody but me got shitfaced while we were there. Jack spent about 100 dollars on weed that night, it was like his little birthday gift to himself, and we were staying the night at David's house.

The little party thing was happening at someone's house (I don't know their name, I've never met them) and we left to go back to David's house around 2:45 A.M.

We got to David's house and everyone decided that they were hungry but there wasn't anything to eat at David's house. Well, David lives in the middle of the city and his house is right across the street from a Waffle House. So, we walked to waffle house to get some food. (they're open all the time)

While we were there this guy came in asking if anybody had any money to give him. He looked just like a stereotypical old homeless guy. Well, none of us did because David's older brother let us use his credit card to buy our food so nobody brought any cash with us.

The man went to a booth on the other side of the room and just sat down and stared at us for the rest of the time we were there. When we walked out he followed us out. We ended up running when we were about halfway to David's house because it really did freak us out. We got inside and slammed the door, locking it as we did so. I ran throughout the house checking all of the doors and windows to make sure they were all locked and I walked back to where all my friends were.

Everyone was crowded around a window looking outside and I remember asking Jack what was going on but he was so high he couldn't even talk. So I just kind of shoved my way through to look out of the window and this guy had followed us all the way from the Waffle House to David's house. He was just standing on the sidewalk, staring at the house.

That dude stood there till the morning.

The worst part was that we couldn't call the cops because everyone smelt like weed and we weren't about to risk it. And we decided it wouldn't be hard to run to get the pistol David's mom has because David lives in a pretty small house. So we just sat there and watched that guy until the morning when he finally left.

I've never seen him since and I hope it stays that way. That experience just freaked me out a lot and now I don't like going into town at night.
