Drew opened his eyes slowly. His head and chest throbbed. He sat up and put a hand to his forehead.
It was dark outside and Drew didn't know where he was. A blanket was over him. He tossed it aside and revealed his wrapped chest. Drew touched it and whinced.
Drew then remembered what happened last night. He looked around hoping he wasn't being too loud.
"Good morning." Scar said. She was sitting in the chair that was across from him.
"How long have you been-"
"All night." Scar said standing. She pushed him back into the couch, Drew whincing. "Lay back. My mom stitched you up and you don't want to reopen your wounds."
Drew looked up at Scar. Scar raised an eyebrow. Drew gulped.
"Thank you...Thank you so much..." Drew said. He looked away.
"Your welcome. My parents aren't home, but they told me to stay and look after you."
"Look after me?"
"Yup." Scar sat down on the couch next to him. "You hungry?"
"Not really no..." Drew replied running a hand through his hair, finding it a bit matted. It was crusty and he realized there was dry blood in his hair.
"You can take a shower tomorrow. You dont want your wounds to get infected. It'll hurt when you take it, but you will feel better with the blood and dirt off of you."
"Okay Doc." Drew said. Scar scowled at him and Drew bit his lip. "Sorry...That was-"
Scar burst out laughing. Drew flinched.
"W-what?" Drew asked. Scar looked at him.
"That's funny!" Scar said shaking her head, still laughing. Drew nervously laughed and looked down.
"Here. You can clean your hair up with this." Scar tossed him a wet towel. Had she been expecting him to wake up or was she about to do it?
"Uh...Thanks." Drew said. He started cleaning his hair. There was still a lot of blood in it afterwards.
Scar sat down across from him again, keeping her distance. Drew looked at her confused.
Scar made eye contact with him and then nodded her head to his left. Drew glanced and saw a camera.
'Oh.' Drew signed in sign language.
'Yeah.' Scar signed back.
Suddenly the door opened and Eleanor came in.
"Scarlett, don't you have school?" Ellie said.
"Yes, but mom said-"
"Go ahead and go to school sweetie, I'll take care of Drew." Ellie smiled. Scar looked at Drew and he shrugged.
"Okay. See you guys later." Scar picked up her backpack and left.
"Bye..." Drew mumbled. Ellie turned to him.
"Good morning Andrew. I'll go get you something to drink. You're probably thirsty." Ellie said. Drew laid back looking up at the ceiling as Ellie went to the kitchen to get some water.
She came back and handed the water to Drew. Drew took a sip. It felt weird going down his throat.
Ellie smiled at him. Drew felt dizzy.
It's nice to see you up." Ellie said, her voice sickening sweet.
Drew cringed. "Yeah..." Ellie cocked her head at Drew.
"Oh you poor boy...You've probably never gotten the proper love that you need." Ellie said coming closer to him.
Drew trembled. "Isn't that right, baby?" Ellie said, caressing his cheek.
"Yes..." Drew said. Everything was a blur. He had been drugged.
