{Mariah's POV }

I tried not to think about loosing Chris but every time I looked at Allison all I could think about was how he helped me train and still had time for me.

Scott was still looking for Ms.Blake and so was I ..but he was looking more. I needed some time away from all the chaos so I went to Lydias house. she hasn't been in school ever since the incident with Ms.Blake .

when I walked to Lydia's house I didn't even knock and she opened the door. he house was beautiful and covered with vases and pictures of Lydia as a child.

we walked to her room and we sat on the bed.. " I'm sorry " she said.

"why would you be sorry..?" I said with a confused expression.

"I'm sorry about Chris.."

"you knew..?" I said surprised.

"he told me.."

"what happened.??.. who bit him." I said

"well... he told me that you were walking home one day." she began.

I started to remember when I was walking back home from Aislings house the day before he ......left.

" and Kali was was following you .. Chris could feel something was wrong so he followed you too." she continued.

"he spotted her and she spotted him so she ran towards you .. he stabbed her with his dagger and she clawed him." my eyes were getting watery.

"she was on top of him and she bit him. " she said and her mom interrupted us .

"mom can Mariah sleep over..?"

"of course if that's Ohkay with your mom.."

"she wont mind."

" because she's never home" I said in my head.

so Lydia and I talked all night about what is happening right now that feels like a dream.

**** morning ****

I woke up to Lydia's alarm clock going off. I looked up and Lydia was already dressed..

"morning." she said

"morning " I said with my voice all cracky.

I noticed something on her neck .. it was a line. I looked at it more closely and it was the scar that Ms.Blake left on her.

her mom came in and helped pick out a shade of make up that matched her skin. her mom wanted the make up to cover up her neck . but Lydia stopped her.

"some one tried to strangle me , and I survived... I don't have to hide that ." she said and I smiled.

"your right " her mom said and she kissed her head and left.

I walked up to Lydia and hugged her.

"your so right ." I said to her
