chapter 19

{Mariah POV}

school was the only place that didn't seem a werewolf throw down arena since every other place was. I kept getting shivers down my spine as if some thing was going to happen . I found Allison and we began walking to class.

then this girl with a leather jacket on walked towards us. and just stood in front of us.

"excuse me " we said politely trying to get past her.

instead she grabbed Allison's and my wrist and I could feel a burning sensation.

"hey!" I said and she let go . but there was a symbol on our wrists. I didn't know what the symbol was or what it meant.

I looked up from examining our wrists and she was gone.

"where did she go.?" Allison and I said in unison. I told her that we would talk about it when we get out of class. so I put on a sweater to cover my wrist.

when we walked into class I could see stiles. I smiled at him and he gave me a wink..

but the weird part is there was no sign of Chris. I asked Allison but she just stood silent. so I asked if I could go to the bathroom but instead I looked around to try and find him.

he was at his locker.

"hey." I said smiling as I was walking towards him.

"hi...can we talk.?" he said with a serious face.

"what's wrong.?"  I replied thinking that he was going to break up with me.

"come over my house later to talk."

"ohkay.." I said trying to fight back the eurge to cry.

**** after school ****

school went by slow as usual and I decided to take a ride with Allison to her house to talk to Chris , once we reached his house the nerves ticked in.

I walked down the hall to his room and he was crying.

"what's wrong." I said softly.

"I'm ...." he began " I'm leaving beacon hills.."

"what.!? why...?" i said with tears streaming down my face.

"I have to go to Europe.."

"why...? "

"its complicated .."

"how"

he got up from the bed and hugged me .. "I love you... and I always will." he whispered .

"I love you too."

I hugged him for what felt like hours ..

"are you coming back..?" I said crying.

"no .. I have to stay over there."

I started crying even harder cause I didn't want to loose him .

as we broke the hug he was crying harder than I was.

"I have to go now .."

"ohkay.. Chris wait."

"yeah..?"

"don't forget me."

"I'll never forget my first love ." I ran and kissed him one last time before he left.

I watched as Chris left and I cried in Allison's arms.. for like hours .

"he didn't want you to find out.." she said holding me.

"find out what..?"

"he was bitten..." I looked at her shocked .

"why did he have to go to Europe then" I said crying harder

"he didn't " she said with a tear drop coming down her face.

"when argents get bitten we can't live on." she said " we have to kill ourselves."

"noo...." I said holding her tight . "noo.."

"he wanted me to give you this" . she took out a letter from her pocket. and it read:

Dear Mariah,

I hope you can see that I never wanted to hurt you ..your the only girl I've ever cared for and I hope you can forgive me . This is what we argents have to do once we get bitten by a werewolf. That's what my mom did and I have to live by the family code. I will always remember the way you laughed and when your right dimple came out when ever you smiled . don't forget me . just please I want you to be happy with someone. I hope you find love and have the family you've always dreamed about. don't be sad cause everything will be Ohkay .. and I want you to know I love you more than anything ..

"I love you." I whispered to the note with tears all over it. "I will always love you .."
