Ch. 4: 1st New Moon

*Zoe's POV*

I woke up the next morning feeling weak. Great, the New Moon is tonight. Well, I might as well get things done before tonight. That is when Louis and I become incredibly weak. It's because of the moon. I got out of bed and trudged over to Louis' room. He was just waking up.

"Louis, it's a new moon tonight." I told him.

"That's why I feel so drained." He said.

"I know, I feel the same." I said.

"This is gonna be a great night." He groaned.

"Yeah..." I sighed. "We should head down stairs, eat some breakfast, you know? Get some energy." I told him, grabbing his hand and dragging him out of bed. He was wearing his coke pyjama bottoms and no shirt.

We walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Liam was making pancakes and bacon. Yum!

"You have no idea how much I love you right now Liam." I told him. He chuckled and handed me a plate of food.

The other guys came down and started eating. We ate quietly until Liam spoke.

"So guys, we have to perform at a party on the beach tonight." He said.

"T-tonight? As in, when it gets dark?" Louis asked.

"Yeah...." He said.

'You'll be fine. I'm going to be there to help you. We pass out at the same time, so we just need to stay awake.' I mind message him.

'No. You're staying here tonight. I need you to be safe, little sister.' He replied.

'I'm going. You remember what mum always says,"you're stronger together than apart. Together you can do anything." And you're only four minutes older.' I sent him.

I chuckled at the face he made, causing everyone to look at me.

"What's so funny?" Niall asked.

"Nothing, just thinking." I told him.

We all finished eating and went back to our rooms. I walked into Louis' room. He was sitting on his bed, so I sat next to him, and put my head on his shoulder.

"Remember our first new moon?" He asked.

I chuckled. "Yeah.."

FLASHBACK (13 years old)

We had just gotten out of the movie theatre, and it was night. Oh no.

"Louis, mum told us that we needed to be back before the moon was up." I said, starting to feel weak.

"We'll be fine, Zo. We're only like, ten minutes from the house. Lets just start walking." He told me. After about three minutes of walking, I felt like I couldn't move.

"Lou, I can't walk anymore. I'm too weak." I told him.

"Here, I'll carry you." He said, picking me up. "Your eyes are turning purple." he told me. our eyes turn purple whenever we get really weak, or really powerful, like on the full moon. He started running as fast as he could, but it wasn't very fast considering the situation.

"Louis, mum said that since we're twins, we both pass out at the same time. And I'm kinda tired... Hurry." I said.

"Try to stay awake Zo, we're almost there." He told me. We got to the house,Louis just being able to open the door before I blacked out.

Louis' POV (still flashback)

I just opened the door, Zoe passing out in my arms. I saw mum siting on the couch. She looked over and her eyes widened.
