Kennilworthy walked up to the house and knocked.
A few moments passed before the door opened to a middle-aged woman .
The woman looked relieved to Kennilworthy standing in the door but anger was visible in her eyes.
"Where have you been? Orion told me you didn't attend graduation." Arabella said. "He said you aren't working at the ministry." his mother looked worried.
"Mum its all fine, I'm currently finding quidditch teams to try out for." Kennilworthy said walking inside. "I couldn't attend graduation because Dippet and I were talking about occupations."
Arabella turned to him.
"Your father isn't going to be happy you're joining the quidditch field." she said walking past him to the kitchen.
Kennilworthy followed his mother into the kitchen to find his father sitting at the table reading the Daily Prophet.
"Where have you been?" his father said looking up from the paper. "You were supposed to come home yesterday afternoon."
"I was with Professor Dippet, he was helping with a few projects I'm working on." Kennilworthy said .
"Want to tell him what field you're looking into." Arabella said looking at Kennilworthy.
His father sighed and looked at him.
"Professor Dippet is helping me look for quidditch teams to try out for." Kennilworthy said looking down.
"Why would you ever think about quidditch?" Atlas said standing up. "You're an adult now, be more mature."
Atlas walked over to the counter and grabbed a mug of tea.
"You're a Ravenclaw, I thought you would act like one." Atlas said walking back to the chair. "Why can't you be more like your friend, what's his name, Orion?"
"Father, you have no idea what I'm working on. Its much more than this." Kennilworthy looked up at his father. "Just you wait."
Atlas looked up at him.
"And while I wait I want you to leave the house. I'm not going to let you stay here working on something that won't even work."
Arabella looked at Atlas.
"Atlas please he is just seventeen, he can't find an apartment in London especially with all the work people are looking for after the war." Arabella said tearing up.
Atlas looked at Arabella.
"I'm giving you a week Kennilworthy." Atlas said. "I'm showing you how to be a real man and until you get a proper job you can't live under this roof."
"Atlas please-"
"Arabella, I can't pay taxes for someone who is just going to be wasting their time doing nonsense." Atlas said.
"No its fine mum, I understand." Kennilworthy said looking at his father. "I'll show you I'm more than you think just because I'm not a Gryffindor who can do everything, stop assuming stereotypes and you'll see how sorry you'll be one day."
Kennilworthy looked at his mother and turned out of the kitchen to the door.
"Stop Kennilworthy! You can't just go!" Arabella said running after her son. "Atlas you can't kick a boy out into the streets." she said stopping to look back at Atlas.
Atlas continued to sip his tea and read the Daily Prophet.
Arabella ran to the door where Kennilworthy was already outside.
