Astrea's POV
It has been a couple of months and the first task has passed.
I honestly can't believe that they had actually gotten dragons for it.
I mean, sure, for my siblings and I, easier than playing with a dog, but, they don't know anything about them!
I was actually pretty infuriated when Harry'd told me that he had to tell Cedric about the dragons to make it fair game. I mean, huh, Headmasters this days. They tell their favorites of tasks and leave the ones with a good chance at it at all. Can somebody please say, cheaters?!
When I first talked to Sequoia and Kaius about it, they said that it was bad, but that I'd probably taken it up a few nodges, wiggling their eyebrows at me and making weird hand gestures everytime I passed or saw Cedric by the halls.
Okay, so, I'll admit, I was probably a little too angry, as my hair turned silver for about two days straight without me being able to control it. When I'd confronted Madam Pomfrey about it, she just said that it was normal as in sometimes when metamorphagus are in my state, like unbelievably emotional, we cannot truly control over our abilities until we calm ourselves a little bit.
Now, as to me liking Cedric, I can't really say. I mean, I barely know the guy and even if I did feel attracted to him, he would only ever see me as my brothers', his best friends', little baby sister. That is, if he even remembers me.
Today I'd woken at eight as to it's of course Hogsmeade Saturday and I'd be getting my dress as to I'm acquired to attend the Yule Ball, because supposedly I'm considered princess across the comunity and it's only rightfully so. Dumbledore's words, not mine.
I dressed in a warm oversized muggle sweater of green and red stripes, as I love Christmas and it is coming quite shortly. I also wore dark jeans and my red rain boots to match, deciding to change my hair to a comeplete red-ish naturally looking ginger color.
After all, I would be going on this trip with Ginny and my oldest two sistars, Nina and Kenna. Thought I'd fit in with the rest of the red-heads.
After breakfast I met up with them and we started our way towards Hogsmeade.
"Well, looks like somebody finally understood fashion." Joked Nina, referring to my hair.
"Not really. I just took a step back from it." I retorted, making both Kenna and Ginny both 'Ohhhhh', even though it should be an insult to them too.
Both Nina and I shook our heads before laughing, the both of them looking at us like we belonged in the loony bin but didn't question us.
As we neared the shops, Nina opened her mouth, something to always be aware of.
"So, Assy..."
Ugh, why is it always me?!
"Yeah?"
"We've all heard that you have began to fancy someone... Perhaps, I dunno... A Triwizard Champion?"
She nudged Kenna, herself doing the same to Ginny and they all started making kissy faces and wiggling their eyebrows at me.
"For the love of God. I DON'T BLOODY LIKE ANY OF THEM!" I shouted in frustration at them, pulling my hands against my hair.
"Well, that's a shame." I heard a strong velvety brittish accent say from behind me.
I turned only to find myself in front of the person that pretty much started all the teasing.
"Cedric?" I breathed.
"Hello, Astrea. I see you've not forgotten my name." He gave me a lopsided grin.
I shook my head, "No, not really."
And smiled back.
He cleared his throat, "Can we talk in private?" He asked while looking over my shoulder.
I turned and gave my friends a look.
"Fine, fine. But, we need her beck in five minutes, no less. Gotta plan for the Yule Ball, you know?" Nina wiggled her eyebrows one last time, before leading our group to a little shop, I could only guess, sold candies.
"And that's what I'd wanted to talk about."
Cedric grabbed my hands and I could see the end of my hair tips turning pink,
"Do you have yet a date for the Ball?"
I felt a deep blush at my neckand could see some pink stripes adorning my hair,
"No... I don't mind going alone though." I chuckled nervously and looked towards my red boots, suddenly finding them more interesting than anything else in the world.
One his hands left mine for a few moments to lift my chin and make me stare into the pools of his eyes.
"Well, I was hoping I'd change that." He gave me a small smile and that's when I felt my heart melt.
"Astrea... Would you- Would you come to the ball with me?" He looked at me in the eyes and I couldn't help but give out a wide smile.
"Of course, I'll go with you."
He smiled back and kissed my cheek quickly before running back to his friends, leaving me in shock, my heart thumping rapidly against my chest and my hair different shades of blue, pink and gold.
"By the way, love the hair!" I heard him shout as my hand stayed in contact were his soft lips had been seconds ago.
Love... Could it really be?
