Astrea's POV

I smiled happily at Cedric that night, both of us promising to reveal our late Christmas gifts to each other tomorrow, considering we both forgot thanks to the big announcement Dumbledore had to make.

"Remember to meet me by the lake tomorrow before sunrise; I want to be able to give you your gift before you give your name to the goblet." Cedric called after me as I made my way towards the dungeons.

I sighed dreamily to myself. He is so.... Perfect.

As soon as I got to my dorm I made sure my medium sized gift was wrapped and where I left it. Then got into my white sleeping gown that flowed down to my feet and got into bed with a wide grin stretched across my face waiting for tomorrow's late Christmas Day.

The next day I'd woken up before everyone in the common room and was out twenty minutes before sunrise in a white and red striped Christmassy sweater, light skinny jeans and white converse, leaving my hair down and face, free of make up.

I had the little present tucked behind my back and as I made my way to the lake, I saw Cedric standing while looking over the horizon, in dark jeans and a green wool jumper, looking as handsome as ever even in his bed hair.

"Well, hello there beautiful."

I blushed instantly and Cedric took one of my hands in his, "Ready for your gift?"

I nodded excitedly, "I'll give you yours first."

I stood on my tippy toes and kissed his cheek before taking my little wrapped up gift from behind my back and letting him open it.

He held up the simple chain with a Knut sized, clear mineral rock at me questioningly.

"It's a chain necklace-- for guys obviously -- That by color, like my hair, tells your feelings, like a mood necklace for muggles, but this one actually works. I also charmed it for us to be able to communicate with each other," I held out from under my sweater my own smaller and more feminine version of the necklace, "whenever we feel like it. Also, if you're close to danger the necklace gem will turn black, I made that on purpose in case you need it for the tournament." I finished explaining.

He smiled at me, "It's beautiful."

And he put it on, swirls of orange and blue suddenly colorfully tinged the rock and I noted that he, although happy, is nervous.

He took a velvet little box out of his pocket and held it towards me.

I bit my lip as I took it and opened it slowly.

Inside was a beautiful ring with beautiful intricate details on the sides, in the middle a Galleon size, almost little bowl like, container with an 'A & C' forged together intricately at the top. Now it was my turn to look questionably at Cedric.

"It's a pensive ring," he explained, "It shows all of our memories we've spent together until now."

I grinned at the first shy smile I've seen from him, "Well then, I guess we've got to fill it up with much more of them."

I leaned in close, only to push him into the fresh grass, "You're it!"

I squealed as I ran for my life, knowing full well that no matter how fast I go, he'd still catch me.

After watching a beautiful sunrise, I left Cedric in the great hall, telling him it'd be better if I just went to put the name on the cup by myself. He did object a bit, but after I promised to spend the rest of the day with him and our friends he shut up and gave me his famous lopsided goofy smile.

As I made my way to the circle, I noted that the magical chalk circle drawn by Dumbledore was not yellow like the last, but a brilliant blue.

I made it inside and gave a sigh of relief, who knows what could have happened if the cup rejected me.

I quickly took the parchment I did my best handwriting in and gave it a once over.

Astrea Devine, Slytherin of Hogwarts

I shrugged the nerves out before letting it go inside the cup and finally noticing how cold it was here. But, I guess it was an alright temperature, seeing as this is the Goblet of Ice.

After breakfast, Cedric told me he'd already invited the Weasleys, Devines, Flours, Hermione, Harry, and Whites. I was pretty happy and so we left to meet them in what they called, 'The Room of Requirement'. It was on the seventh floor and, supposedly, only appeared when you really wished for it. When we got inside we noticed all of them there already, waiting for our appearance.

After saying our 'heys' and 'hellos', we all sat in a large circle, we were after all twenty-nine people.

I cleared my voice to get everyone's attention, "Who exactly has put or is going to put their names into the goblet?"

Meadow sheepishly raised her hand, "Blossom, Clover and I decided that we would- We're planning on going to put our names in tonight, after dinner."

I looked at Meadow, Clover and Blossom for a minute, taking their appearances in for the first time. The three of them were wearing what must have been sweaters from Mrs Weasley--Blossom wearing a white one with a red 'B' in the middle, Clover a green one with a white 'C' in the middle, and Meadow a red one with a green 'M' on its middle. They all had identical oval, pale faces with white, wavy hair falling to their shoulders. The way most people distinguished the triplets by their eyes, though they did have colored tips, Meadow having red tips and clear blue eyes, Clover had both green tips and deep green eyes, and Blossom had dark blue tips with hazel, honey brown eyes.

"That's great." Drake started, dark blue eyes shining, "Both Dean and I put our names in yesterday before dinner."

I nodded, "What about you guys?" My voice directed towards my siblings.

Kenna sighed, "Well, I did it now, right after breakfast- couldn't really help myself, I need to know when they are safe, it is kind of in my nature."

Calder scoffed, "I'm doing it for the money."

Nina rolled her eyes, "No, you're not. We all know that you want to perfect your abilities and-- We are all rich, kid. It kind of comes with the heredity of the Queen and King of the Elders."

"What abilities?" Ron wondered out loud.

Aysu took to explaining, "Every elder has at least an ability or power that others don't, it's kind of what we call our gift and we get it after our full transformation. Mine are that I can talk to werewolves and persuade them and also breath underwater, the temperature not affecting my body. Calder's gift is quite honorable. He, can control people's minds at times and also is an exceptionally great fighter, it's pretty much in his blood."

Calder shrugged, "All of us have powers, it's not something we lack in."

"Waiiiiiiiit up." Fred suddenly said.

"You are telling us," George continued, "that you all have this really cool powers that no one else alive has?!"

"No one else alive who is an Elder." Aura nodded.

"Honestly, we'd think Drake and Dean would have told you this long ago..." Sequoia shook her head.

The rest of the afternoon was spent with my head resting on Cedric's shoulder while my siblings explained how exactly it worked, gaining powers and knowing what to do with them, etcetera.
