Astrea's POV

Okay.

So? I was scared.

Who knew what types of challenges they'd make us do, and I was just as terrified of finding the details out today.

"Alright," Dumbledore clapped his hands together. "As there have been a few changes, we have decided we shall change some parts of the challenges coming up next."

.

"Oh, come on! It cannot be that bad." Draco shook his head at me.

"You don't understand," I gulped, "I don't even know how to swim properly!"

He only gave me a confused look and I shook my head, getting up off the table and going directly to the library. It was almost nine a.m. and by now, most upper grade students were at Hogsmead, having fun in the snow or enjoying mouthwatering drinks only served there.

Okay, so now I have to think. How am I supposed to help in the sense of not letting my boyfriend die and getting to show him off to Sirius later on?

Wait.

Cedric.

That's it!

.

"I know it is not easy to see that sometimes the risk of the losing might be just the one of winning. And, I also understand that some of you are worried about the few adjustments made to the tournament. Most of your concerns pertaining to the Elders, as some of them are as young as fourteen."

The speech being delivered was by Dumbledore, and it was mostly about the rumors that have stumped even the ghosts at Hogwarts.

"But, you do not have to worry, as this event is being diligently looked after by the Ministry  of Magic, who seek only the upmost satisfaction from all individuals in the school, from both the staff members and student body."

I rolled my eyes at that one. Sure.

Not like anybody dies or anything.

"Alas," Dumbledore continues, "our Elders are being trained separate to normal class schedules in hopes that they may truly help those in their teams. The whole reason they were admitted to the competition was not to increase hazardous expectations, but elevate chances of success and health to those wizards who were chosen to partake in this uniquely glorifying tournament... Disassemble."

With his finish, Dumbledore stepped off the podium, and strode over to the circle of teachers chatting amongst themselves.

Nina gave me a reassuring smile after sensing my concerns, "Don't worry, Asters. We'll all make it through it."

That is what I am hoping for.

.

That night I decided to go to the Quidditch grounds and try to write a letter to my sister back in the Muggle world.

The tips of my hair were a dull green, towards the end... Where I told her to not have too much sugar and wrote that I loved her with all my heart. One tear fell from my glazed eyes, and I wiped it before standing from my seat at the very top of the Slytherin bleachers and let my wings out, thinking solely of the time I found out I was to be an older sister.

Tugging the letter into my trouser's pocket, I proceeded to jump from my spot, flying high into the night to clear my thoughts.

There were too many stars, and instead of counting, I found myself inspired, this night truly brighter than many I have experienced before.

Hello there,

Show of hands if you hate me?

I know, me too.

I'm so sorry for waiting on you.

A few years have passed since I started this story, and I was like, wow, I hate myself.

Senior year is coming on now and I honestly have never been as nervous my entire life(my hands are literally shaking now as I type this).

AP hw, as always is killing me. My twin took the one AP class that doesn't give Hw and he's living the life basically.

Anyhow, lots of love

K.
(BTW: while I was reading this book, all I kept thinking about is that this looked to be a Draco fanfic until I introduced Cedric... Anyone else agree?)
