My eyelids felt heavy as I tried to flutter them open. It kind of felt like a brick hit me, and I felt an instantaneous migraine as my eyes were hit by the early rays of the sun.

"You've finally awoken, darling." Mrs. Pomfrey exclaimed from my bedside, wetting a towel and pressing it against my forehead.

Under my towel, I noticed I was still in my one piece. "What exactly happened?" I asked, curious to know.

"Oh, why, your brother Arvin took you out so that Mr. Diggory would finish his task. He was adamant on freeing you from the merfolk that outnumbered you two."

"Oh," I brush my hand against my colorful waves of hair as I dry it. "Is Cedric okay?"

"Oh, dear. He's alright," the woman assures with a warm smile, "You've only been out for about half an hour, in which he's been finishing his task. But I'm sure your friends and family feel as though it's been too long as well."

"It's just," I take a shaky breath, "I'm meant to be assisting him."

My mind wanders to my knowledge of Cedric's fated death. How could J.K. Rowling do this? She's a seer, and just chooses for things in life to be kept going awry?

My train of thought is interrupted as I hear commotion from the outside.

A smile breaks out onto my face as I see Cedric walk in, a towel wrapped around him, and his cheeks reddened no doubt from the outside weather.

"Don't ever scare me like that again, Astrea!"

I clutch onto his warm body as soon as he's in an adequate proximity and breath in his salty scent. "I was worried about you too."

.

Back at the dorms, I changed into a green dress that came above the knees and added a thick coat with it, in consideration of the weather outside. After a long bath earlier, my hair had dried in caramel ringlets and I enjoyed their natural state.

I peeked at my image in the mirror, and smiled as I put on some clear lipgloss, before placing my wand in my pocket

My mind couldn't help but start to wander to the events I had too stop soon enough, but for now I told myself to enjoy the winning party, and my perfectly healthy boyfriend.
