Later that night, Sebastian slipped out of Ciel's bedroom, making sure that the boy was deep in slumber.
I'm going to need help, he thought as he entered a guestroom. Once inside, Sebastian neared the dirty fireplace and growled as he spit inside. His saliva sparked a strong flame, a vibrant green color that let out no light.
"Are you there, brother," the being asked, allowing his human attire to loosen once more. His feathered wings sprouted from his shoulder blades as his eyes returned to their natural glowing scarlet and his fangs peeked from his upper lip.
And it wasn't long until a creature emerged from the flames. A being only a foot shorter than Sebastian with the same wings but held a gaze of deep emerald. Sneering, smoke surrounded its body. "Well, isn't this a surprise," came a teasing, light voice as the shields began to clear.
Stood before Sebastian was a butler-dressed old teen. His dark raven locks were slicked back from his forehead as those eyes calmed into a dull green, a casual know-it-all smirk spreading thin lips. A family trait.
"It's been a decade, brother," the younger pouted, the smirk quickly being replaced by a small frown. The being frowned as well, "And? You know as well as I do that I'm neither not your babysitter nor mother. Now, I want your assistance in something important."
The frown was then erased by a smile, his brother clapping his hands lightly in excitement. "Do tell then! Is it in hunting for a witch? You know how well my sense of smell is. Oh, or is it another search for a human me-" Sebastian flicked the younger's forehead hard, sending him to collapsed on his back. "Ouch! Meanie, you didn't have to do that, you know!"
He was already starting to get a headache. "Would you shut it already. I have little patience for your chatter." Helping him up, he put his index finger to his lips, signalling for the other to be quiet.
And it was only a single second before his brother's ears twitched. "There are a few human adults in a dinning room...and a boy in a bedroom not far from us.... What is this, brother? Did you make a contract with one of them," he asked, pointing at the door.
Sebastian nodded, "I plan to with the child, which is why I called upon you. So listen closely." The being's plans were whispered into the younger's ear in a language no human could understand, and it when he finished speaking, his little brother crossed his arms over his chest.
"Why do I have to play babysitter? You know v-"
"I know of how clumsy you are but this an emergency, which means you are to do your job correctly this time. Or else I'll send you another package of the succubus you despise so much."
"Fine! Honestly you're lucky your kin!"
Sebastian smiled in victory, "Good, now follow me."
The younger followed him out, his eyes roaming around the hallway as he detected the smell of perfume, alcohol, and a thick mist of sweetness from the boy's approaching bedroom. But he remained silent until the doors themselves were in view.
Sebastian gripped the handle, but froze and glanced behind him with a sharp glare. "Now, remember to not be so loud around him. Also, he is more nervous now that his parents are home, so don't make such sudden movements. And when I return to you both, there better not be a brui-"
He nodded, "Yes, yes, I know. That obsessive side never goes away for a second, does it? Plus, you're making it sound like he's a floor made out of pure glass with how I'm not suppose to move so much. I mean, really, he's a human not a baby doe."
"With how he's scared of them, he could qualify as one and you know what that means."
The younger nodded, waving his hand casually. "I know, I know. Humans like him rarely trust yet at the same time can trust easily. Though, I'm not surprised that he can trust you."
