The next morning, Ciel woke up to the feeling of someone rocking his shoulder. He slowly shifted to see who it was, rubbing sleep from eyes. "Good morning, young master," greeted Tanaka, slightly bowing. "Your parents have arrived an hour earlier and your father has requested you to his office."
The boy's blue eyes widened in fear, and at that point, he could've sworn that his heart froze for a whole second. "Y-Yes, of course. ...Thank you, Tanaka. Can you go tell father I'll be there in a few minutes?" The old butler nodded, bowing once more before he walked out of the room.
Ciel looked around, finding Sebastian in dog form still at the end of the bed. "Have you been there the whole time, Sebastian?" The being nodded, changing forms as he was then standing beside Ciel. "Are you alright, young master? I've noticed that you're heart rate increased but you look more fearful than happy." The boy said nothing, only walking to his bedroom door.
"Young master, shouldn't you get dressed," Sebastian asked, eyebrow raised his confusion. He had not been here for long, but he had never seen this side of the boy until now. It was almost unsettling to him, seeing how quiet and tense the small human was despite always having a smile on his face and carefree. Normaly wanting to play a game or simply be around Sebastian.
Ciel shooked his head, "Father will get mad at me if I keep him waiting. Is it okay if you just stay here for the next hour or so, Sebastian?" The being was silent for a moment, still confused. I'll ask him about this afterwards, he thought as he spoke. "I'll wait for you, my lord. But when a hour passes, I'll be waiting for you at the office door." Ciel nodded, walking out of the room, leaving a slightly worried Sebastian behind.
As Ciel hurriedly walked down the hallway to his father's office, he straightened his night attire and brushed through his hair with his fingers. Vincent would try to find any flaw he could about his son to complain about, so it was best to look as presentable as possible.
When he met the office door, the boy gulped as he knocked on the wood three times. "Who is it," his father asked, his voice tense and annoyed. "It's your son, Ciel." There was a long silence before he was given permission to enter, and Ciel opened the door, walking inside. The morning light shined its way into Vincent's office. Showing the distructing within.
Papers scattered about the desk, a full bottle of tequila settled amongst them. The boy's father sat in his office chair, facing Ciel with a look of disgust as he had a glass goblet in hand that was almost empty of tequila. Books seemed to have been toppled over as a few littered the surrounding floor of the desk. More papers were accompanied by the books, some ripped and torn while others seemed new. He wore a dark grey suite, a white shirt underneath as it was showed off with a black tie.
"About time you arrived, son, I was beginning to think that I would have had you be dragged out of your room," Vincent sighed, drinking the last bit of his acohol. "I'm sorry, father," Ciel said, looking down at the floor as he kept his arms straight at his sides. "I was a bit in a hurry, didn't know that you would be coming so early in the day."
His father rolled his eyes, slamming the goblet on the table and watching as his son jumped at the loudness. A dark chuckle followed. "Come here, son. I've been gone for so long, I want to make sure of something." Ciel nodded, quickly walking to Vincent's side, dodging the books that could make him fall.
Once there, the boy kept looking at the ground as he waited for his father to do something. At that moment, a hard foot bashed into his stomach, making Ciel lower to his knees as his arms wrapped around his mid section. He panted for air when a hand ran through his hair and gripped at the locks, pulling his head up. "You wanted us to be gone longer, son," Vincent asked, his eyes burning with rage and disappointment. "A child should miss their parents when they're gone, but you...you didn't want us to come back?!"
