Sparkling ruby eyes shot open, meeting the shine of a winter sun. The air was still as cool as last night, however the wind had picked up.
The demon sat up, spotting the dried blood that ruined his attire and hair. The wind carried no hint of the angels from last night or Ciel for that matter, making Sebastian growl.
I'd lost him...damn. He stood up, brushing himself off of fallen leaves and scanning the area. As he thought, there was no one around. The demon frowned, growling low in his throat before dashing from the Phantomhive estate.
He wouldn't require assistance, especially from his brother. Finding out that he'd let Ciel get taken, he'd be sure to get an earful.
Right now, with no scent to track and no mark to follow, his best bet was to get to the trapper. It's been centuries, but there was a good chance he'd still be in Russia.
His speed was halted just outside of London, letting out a barely audible whistle. It took a minute or two for a large crow to fly from over head. Landing on his shoulder with patience.
"Tell the others to scan over Poland and further north near Ukraine, any signs of disappearances are to be noted," he instructed, his eyes flashing red. The bird immediately flew off, rusty caws escaping their throat with quickness.
The demon sighed, looking over himself. Dirt and blood still clung to his body. The first thing he'll need to do is get cleaned.
