A New Family

Chapter 11

Daddy and Caroline come back in and stop. "Where did the dishes go that were on the table?" Caroline asks and I point to the dishes beside me. "Come on kiddo." Daddy says and picks me up and carries me outside. Daddy makes me a s'more and I eat it. That's the last thing I remember before I fell asleep.

**The next day**

I wake up with Caroline and a bag of my clothes. I get out of bed and go to the bathroom with my clothes. I run me a bath and shut the door. I get in and wash up. I get out and put on some clothes. Which are, some shorts, a Georgia shirt, and underwear. Daddy packed my boots. And my shirt says 'Georgia Boys Daughter' and on the back it's some of daddy's old tour dates. I find a stool and brush my hair. I but on some deodorant and walk out and sit my boots down in the living room. I run upstairs to wake Caroline up. I jump her bed. "Caroline wake up wake up!" I scream and laugh and she tickles me. "P-please s-stop." I giggle and she stops. "Can you take me to school? Daddy's probably with Uncle Ty and Uncle BK." I say and she nods. I get off her bed and she chases me downstairs. My backpack is on the couch. So is my lunch box. It has a note on it. It says

'Good morning princess. Hope you have a good day at school. Me, Uncle Ty, and Uncle BK will pick you up. Behave please. Hope you weren't to much trouble for Caroline. Here's you lunch and snack. Love ya. -Daddy'

"Here kiddo. Here's your breakfast." Caroline says and I sit at the counter. She made me a Jimmy Dean biscuit. I finish it and get down. "Thank you Caroline. Stay with my daddy please. He loves you." I say and hug her legs. "I love him too." She says back and I smile. "Come on kid let's get you to school." She says and picks me up. I put my boots on and pick up my backpack and lunch box.

**At school**

Caroline dropped me off and I walked in with my class. I sit in the back of the classroom with this girl. Her name is Emma. She's my age and she loves my daddy's music. It's snack right now. "Hey Emma you wanna come over to my house tonight? Give me your mom's number and I'll have my dad call her." I say and she writes it down on a piece of paper. I stick it in my folder and finish my apple. I throw it away and sit back down.

**End of the day**

I hug Emma bye and get in the truck with BK, Ty, and daddy. "Here daddy call this number. This is Emma's moms number. Can she come over later?" I say/state/ask. "Sure kid." He says and I say a mental yes.

Lukes POV

I call the number that was on the paper and a lady picks up. "Hello?" The lady ask. "Yes is this Emma's mom?" I ask. "Yes who is this?" She asks me. "This is Haylee's dad. They are in the same class at school. Haylee asked me if Emma you come over for dinner. It's fine with me. Is it okay with you?" I say and ask. "Yes. I'll meet you at Walmart in an hour." And with that she hung up. "Bk and Ty will you go get her with Haylee? I have to make dinner." I ask them and they agree.

I pull up at home and we get out. I unlock the house and we go in. Haylee runs up to her room and cleans it. I don't know what she has to clean because it's a big room.

Haylee's POV

I clean my room and check the clock on my nightstand. It's been an hour. I slip on my crocs and run downstairs. "UNCLE BK UNCLE TY LET'S GO!" I yell and they get up from the couch. I run out to the car and buckle up. Ty and BK get in and leave for Walmart.
