Chapter 6

' Betty, Betty ' someone called faintly as she tried to figure out who was calling her. She was deep in the forest all alone.
' Betty, Betty ' the voice called again.
Betty's heart began to race. She didn't believe in ghosts, but hearing her name from someone she couldn't see was beginning to give her the feeling it was a ghost.
' Betty...Betty ' the voice said again. But this time it sounded very close. She looked around and saw a long branch and picked it. Holding it tight with both hands and ready to strike the person once he or she was revealed, she said ' who are you, show yourself '.
' it's me, Silas ' the voice replied.
' Silas? ' she asked surprised.
' Betty, you need to wake up '
' wake up? '
She felt someone shake her rigorously as she Jumped up screaming ' I'm awake!, I'm awake! '.
She looked around, she wasn't in the forest...she was in Silas's room in the academy. She looked up and saw Silas staring back at her. She was dreaming.
' good morning ' she said.
' Actually it's afternoon ' He replied.
' Afternoon? ' she asked surprised she had slept that long. She opened the curtains beside the bed as sun rays hit her face.
' aargh!... Close it, close it ' Silas cried. She looked at and saw his body was frying. Quickly she closed it.
' I'm sorry, I'm really sorry ' she apologized.
' no it's okay ' he said ' ouch she grimaced at the pain when she touched his arm.
Slowly, his burnt skin healed and it looked like nothing even burnt him.
' so that's why you people love darkness ' she said.
' yes ' he said in agreement ' how was your night? '
' short '
' why? '
' because I spent most of the night thinking. How was yours? '
' The same...as usual ' he said and put on a leather jacket.
' where to? ' she asked
' Training, I've got a brawl tonight. If you're hungry, check the fridge. You'll get real food when I get back '
' okay ' she replied and he left.
Minutes after he had left, she walked to the fridge and opened it.
' This is creeping me out ' she said seeing different variety of human food. She smelt her breath and it smelt terrible.
' got to take care of this first ' she said and entered into the bathroom. Then she realized that she was still in her uniform.
The bathroom was like every normal bathroom. It had a bath tub, shower, towel rack, tooth brush and paste and surprisingly, a water closet.
There were two tooth brushes and a tube of tooth paste lying on the bathroom sink. After doing a little bit of Ini-miny-mo, she took one of the brushes and put some paste on the tube and scrubbed her teeth.  Then she took off her uniform and entered into the tub which had been filled with soap and water. She took a green sponge and slowly washed her body.
Meanwhile at the Moroi academy, the students were carrying out their training session in a large hall. There were six large circles in the training room. Each circle was a combat ring. Two opponents faced each other and the aim was to render the opponent defenseless. Another part was a mini obstacle course, another part had large cross bows that shot silver arrows. It was to teach agility and concentration. The hall also had a section that had gym equipments
Soon the training session ended as lady Gillian dismissed the class. The hall was soon empty. Only Cyrus was left in the hall still working out.
As he handled a barbell, he heard someone call his name.
' Cyrus Black ' the voice said.
' who goes there? ' he asked and brought out his canines.
Suddenly, someone jumped from behind him and pushed him to the floor.
