I played around in the backyard of the big house we lived in. Me and my dads. They were working inside, so I decided to play with my pet shops outside. It's a sunny summer day after all.

"Come here Hedge, you need to see this!" Hedge was the hedgehog pet shop. And that sentence was said by the cow one, Rose.

While I pretended the two toys ran through the grass to the tree in the back of the garden I noticed a girl standing behind the hedge that cut the yard from the rest of the world, she was looking at me.

"Hello" I greeted her happily.

"Hi. You are Melody Minter, right?" she asked me.

"Yes. Do I know you?" I asked and she shook her head.

"Not yet. I'm a friend of your fathers" she told me, showing of a little smile. I was wondering why she had dirt in her face and hair, but I didn't ask. I had been taught to not ask people why they are dirty because that's not nice.

"Do you want me to get them?" I instead asked.

"No, you can't tell them I was here. I'm not supposed to be here" That confused me. I always want to speak with my friends, but apparently she didn't. That's weird.

"Why are you here?" I questioned. She stood in silent for a while, just staring at me. A frown visible on her face as she thought about something.

"MELODY! LUNCH!" I suddenly heard daddy shout from inside.
I turned around to look if he stood by the door, as the girl had asked me to not tell them. But when I turned back she was gone. Making me shrug before running off, almost forgetting about her as I met dad in the kitchen.

"Are you having fun playing by yourself?" he asked me.
"I wasn't alone" I replied, making him frown for a second. "I had Hedge and Rose with me" I told him showing of the two plastic animals.
"Oh, I almost forgot about those two. Hedge, Rose. How are you today?" he asked my toys and I laughed.
"Don't be silly Daddy, they only reply to me" I told him.
"No, they always reply to me as well. Isn't that right Rose" suddenly the cow was out of my hand and in the hands of Papi.
"No, she won't reply to you" I argued trying to get her back while laughing.
"I always reply to Papi, he is the coolest dad ever" Papi made a girly voice as he spoke, pretending to be the cow, making Daddy laugh.

Not much later we went to pick up my uncle's from America and Australia from the airport in Papi's big car. I really missed Uncle Landon, he was really cool.
