I was with Preston at the shop, buying the newspaper. We had been walking around when we saw it in the window. "A grave was found dug up, body not found" the title read. I then had looked at the smaller text right under it, reading something about Sofia Minter. So we bought it so we could read the whole article.
After buying the paper we countinued walking to the park, talking about what we just had read. How weird it was. Who would do something like that? Why did they need the body?
When we reached the park we saw a dirtyblonde girl sitting alone under the tree that me and Preston always went to when we went to the park.
"We can probably sit there too" Preston commented when I pointed it out.So we went up to her to ask.
"Hello, is it alright if we sit here?" Preston asked her, she didn't look up at us. She only nodded her head, still looking at the framed picture in her hand.
"Alright, thanks" I thanked her, frowning.Me and Preston continued talk after we sat down on the grass. Speaking about how weird it was.
"Who would they take a body from the graveyard? It's insane" I commented and Preston agreed.
"I don't know. And why Sofia's? It wasn't any other grave" he spoke as we looked through the article.
I couldn't help but glance over to the blonde girl, I couldn't see her face, but I saw the picture she was holding.
"Is that the photo Landon brings with him everywhere?" I asked Preston, trying to keep my voice hushed.
"The one of Sofia and him? Impossible. It's nowhere online" Preston replied, the girl froze in her spot, she didn't move a muscle. She must've heard us. So I hushed my voice a bit more as I talked with Preston. After awhile Preston said he would ask her, so he touched her shoulder to get her attention, she jumped a bit, frightened by Prestons hand.
"Excuse me, may I ask where you got that picture?" She didn't reply. She just sat completely still for awhile. Then she ran, quickly, away from us.We looked after the girl as she ran. We just asked where she got that picture from, why did she run?
"Did I say something wrong?" Preston asked me and I shrugged.
"I don't think so" I replied, frowning. Wondering who that girl was.
Later we arrived back at Simon and JJ's. Still talking about that weird girl from the park.
"We're back!" Preston shouted into the house when we stepped into the house.
"We're in the kitchen" Simon replied soon after and we walked into the kitchen.
"Did you hear about what happened?" I asked as I put down the paper on the table.
"No, has something happened?" Lachlan asked, looking up from his phone.
"Someone have been digging up a grave, the body is missing" Preston explained and then opened the paper, which I had folded, so they could see the title.
"Sofia's missing from her grave? When did this happen?" Landon asked, worry hinting in his voice.
"Saturday morning, the morning before you landed in London" I was confused as I heard Josh's voice from the door to the kitchen. He was leaning to the door frame, Lewis right beside him looking at him, confused.
"You knew about this?" Simon asked and Josh nodded.
"And I can promise, I have nothing to do with the missing body. But I know who took it and where it is" Josh told us, walking more inside the room.
"How?" Jerome asked him, Josh just shrugged.
"I have my reasons. And I have promised not to tell you, for your own good I will keep my promise" when did Josh become a wise guy? Or maybe he is a criminal actually...
"Josh, you are a little bit scary right now" Jide commented and Josh shrugged.
"The person has right about one thing, even if I get mostly confused by them, if or when you find out you will be really frightened. I know I was, I still am, but for many of you it will be way worse I feel like" Josh was really scaring me now. "Either way, me and Lewis came to pick up a thing I forgot here, it's a copy of the newest ZRK edition shirt" Josh then explained.
I don't really know how it happened, but seconds later Josh was pushed up to the wall by Landon. Landon held the older man in a tight grip so he couldn't move, looking like he could kill someone.
"You tell us who took my girlfriend's dead body from her grave and why. You can't just come in here and say you know stuff without telling us everything. Especially if it's about a crime" Landon spoke strictly and Josh gave Landon a wondering look before shaking his head.
"This was no crime. Not really. Sure, a body is missing, but I don't think it counts as crime this time" Josh explained. Which made everyone even more confused than before.
