Melody

I came home right before dinner, the house was incredibly quiet, like something had happened, but I thought nothing of it. I just ran up the stairs after telling everyone I was home.

Iopened the door to my room and walked in and closed the door again. The first thing I noticed was that my bat had been moved. Mr. Fly was gone. I was just going to go yell at Papi when I saw someone.

"AUNTIE!" I exclaimed and ran up to her and gave her a hug.

"Hello Melody, how have you been?" she asked me after she had hugged me back.

"Great, I've been to my friend Emma's house today" I told her happily. "What have you done today?" I asked and she smiled.

"Things, mostly running" she told me before showing Mr. Fly in her hand. "I also threw this at Josh" she then told me with a smile. I giggled.

"Why?" I asked her.

"Because he needed help, so I used the toy to help him" she explained, but it didn't really make sense. But I didn't mind.

"Do you wanna play with me again?" I asked instead and she shook her head.

"Not today little one, I have to head home before everyone is going to Ethan and Emily's flat" she spoke, her voice was so soft. I wanted to be just as cute as she is when I was older.

"Right, they are having a party tonight, are you going?" I questioned, hoping she was.

"Possibly, but not likely" she said, even though she was cute she was very unclear. "But I have to go before your Uncle Landon come to ask you to get ready" she then explained.

"How do you know Uncle Landon will come?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"I can hear him walking towards the door" she replied nodding to my door. "But I'll see you later love" she then added and then went to my window and climbed out.

"Bye" I replied waving, then she was gone. No trace of her ever being here, except the bat in my hand.

Seconds later Landon opened the door and looked in.
"Hello Mel" he greeted me happily.

"Hi Uncle Landon" I smiled back.

"Jide asked me to go check if you are ready" he explained to me. "We are going to Ethan and Emily's" he then added. "It's Emily's birthday today" he then explained to me, like I didn't know that already.

"I'm ready" I replied happily, still holding the bat in my hand.

"Where did you get the bat? I thought Si put it in a cupboard downstairs" he commented motioning to the bat. I looked down at it and smiled.

"I got it from a friend" I told him, knowing that I had gotten away with that before. "Are we going now?" I then asked.

"Yeah, come on down" Uncle Landon told me, holding out a hand for me. I took it and followed him, I loved knowing I was everyones little princess.
