"Moving on to me. I'm four years younger but I'm your first friend ever and also who saved you from the bullies," Jungkook gestured like he flipped his invisible long hair. I raised my eyebrows in disbelief. "Fine, you caught me." He rolled his eyes and laughed. "It was Yoongi hyung who saved us. We were always bullied by the big kids because we weren't rich, that doesn't mean Yoongi hyung is rich. But he had confidence and courage to fight those big bullies for us. That's how we three got to know each other." Jungkook explained, sounding so inspired by this Yoongi guy. Of course, I just listened.

"So... where is he?" I asked. "He's not in Seoul right now, he's on world tour, should be back by next moth." Jungkook tried to calculate the months with his fingers but end up checking the calendar. I just nodded. Jungkook was flipping through his gallery, probably looking for more pictures to show. I sighed and gained my courage to ask him a question I've dying to know.

"Jin and I... how were we before?" I said, a little bit soft, sounding insecure. Jungkook widened his eyes and looked around. "Thank all the gods that Jin hyung is not around! How could you ask that? I totally understand but he'd be so sad if he heard you. You two are the sweetest couple in the entire universe. He loves you more than anything and the same goes for you. Don't worry, he's not a liar, if that's what you're thinking." Jungkook patted my shoulders.

"Thanks," I said, giving him an assuring smile. "No problem," he returned a gummy smile. "You wanna know how you guys started dating, don't you?" he raised his eyebrows, carefully studying my curious face. I laughed and nodded. This guy can just see me through so easily. Maybe that's why he's my best friend.

"Well, in your last year of college, you started writing a fantasy novel that went viral. So you got really famous and rich of course. You do know you're a writer, right?" he paused to ask. I nodded, "Jin did told me but not too precise." he put this phone into his pocket like he's on for a serious talk. "Well, your book was a hit four years ago, including the two years you've been in coma. So this anonymous fan of yours always left a rose on your doorstep. Number of roses increased day by day. One day, you waited for the guy to appear and the result was a delivery man. So you just ignored and leave it. Later you guys met on a blind date. You guys dated and only after four months, you found out Jin hyung was your rose guy. It's just so adorable!" Jungkook used his hands to act it out how sweet it was. I just smiled and nodded.

"Don't look so confused, you'll fix all the pieces later, trust me." he smiled. He went on an endless conversations about our memories back in school where once I confessed a prom king and got rejected that Yoongi had to pretend to be my prom date. It was all funny but the most weirdest thing was Yoongi is always my savior. I can't believe I easily moved on when after he left for Big Hit.

It has been four hours since Jin left. I patiently looked at the clock and waited for him to come back. Jungkook had already left, claiming it's the busiest time of the day for his restaurant. I went through my galleries as there were many pictures of me, Jungkook, and Yoongi. Of course, Jin's pictures were the most. My life seemed totally perfect. But I didn't know why I didn't felt like it. Is it just because I lost my memories?

I was deep in my thoughts I didn't notice Jin walking through the front door. "I'm back," he said, putting his bag aside. I smiled at him. "Jungkook already left?" He asked after looking around. I nodded, "He said his restaurant is crazy at this time." I explained. Jin chuckled, "So we're alone, then?" he removed my hand was on my knees and lied down on my lap while his hands was still holding mine.

"Ah, so relaxing." he let out a sigh of relief and closed his eyes. I quietly watched his flawless face that was trying to get some sleep. I brushed his forehead and his hair that was super soft. He must've had a tired day, I thought to myself. I sat there like that for a few more minutes until he opened his eyes.

"I don't know how I'll make it through my tough days without you." he stood up and headed for the kitchen. "I'm sorry, I don't know how to cook." I shrugged, following him into the kitchen. He laughed when he heard me say that, "Don't worry, I always cook." He formed a smirk and started chopping the ingredients.

(after cooking)

He carefully placed the burning soup in the middle before taking off his gloves. "They smell so good," I clutched my hands together. Not only they smelled so good, they looked so fine. I can't believe my boyfriend can cook, this is just perfect. "So what did Jungkook told you about?" he asked. "He just told me about stuff back in high school, middle school and how I got to know him and Yoongi." I answered.

Jin's face immediately frowned when he heard the name Yoongi, but why? Suddenly, I remembered what Jungkook said. It's a complicated thing with Yoongi hyung. "By the way, the soup is really good." I quickly changed the subject. Jin forced a smile while moving the soup nearer to me. "Have more, you need to get healthier."

"I'll wash the dishes," I said as we finished eating. He snatched the plates in my hands and shook his head, "No way, you're too weak. Go ahead and sleep," he then started to move the empty plates to the sink. I felt so guilty I was doing no help. "Are you sure?" I asked. He smiled a kissed my cheeks gently, "I am sure."

I slowly climbed up the enormous stairs and found my way back to my room. I brushed my teeth and prepared for bed. I looked out the window as the stars were shining bright, trying to give me a message to be happy and to move on... to stop being to held back to the past. As I was about to tuck myself into the sheets, I noticed a photo frame on my study desk.

I picked it up to look at it up closer. It was a picture of Jin and me. I was hugging him at he was giving me a kiss on the forehead. We were in some kind of a park. Suddenly someone came in, causing me to flinch. "It was our sixth month anniversary, you really loved that photo." Jin's voice spoke behind me. Gradually, I felt warm hands wrapped around my waist, finding comfort.

Maybe the stars were right... I should move on and stop being held back to the past when I have the chance.

I don't think the stars are right. How about you reader-nims? Comment your thoughts below in the comment section!
