Sound of constant beeping echoed in my head, forcing my eyes to open. Bright light shone in as I squinted in response. "Eun Ji ah!" Someone yelled. Where am I? Who am I? I looked around the unfamiliar room that was super clean and tranquil.

Someone wearing a white coat examined me like there was something wrong with me. My head started to ache like someone was hammering it. I watched the guy with the white coat come closer. It was a doctor as he became clearer into my sight. "This is unbelievable." He said. What is he even talking about? Suddenly, another brown-haired guy, much younger responded with happiness. He wasn't wearing a doctor coat though, so I assumed he wasn't one. A tear found its way down his smooth cheeks. Looking at me, he smiled but his smile looked so sad. But why is he smiling? Who is he?

"Who are you?" I asked. The doctor and brown-haired guy immediately frowned. "Why am I here? Can I go home?" I softly said and endured the pain when I tried moving my hands. Speaking of home, I don't even know where my home was. I attempted to move my hand again  but somehow it didn't move. "I wouldn't move that if I were you. You've been in coma for two years, your nerves aren't not used to moving yet." the doctor said before whispering something to the nurse. "Do you really not remember me?" The brown-haired guy asked, starting to cry. "I didn't mean to make you cry," I quickly apologized. He wiped his tears and forced a smile, "It's not your fault," he cupped my right cheek. "As long as you're okay I can't be happy enough." He said.

I had no idea what was going on. I stared at him blankly. It was like my brain got a factory reset. I tried to process my name. Even my name wouldn't come into my head.

"I'm sorry." I softly said, starting to feel guilty again for not remembering something. "Ssh, I told you it's not your fault. I'll be right back." he planted a kiss on my forehead as he followed the doctor to a distance until I couldn't hear them. I returned a nod.

I had no idea who he was, nor what is he to me. With confused eyes, I watched them talk. All the brown-haired guy did was nod. After a minute, he came back to him. It was obvious that he wasn't happy, yet he was forcing a smile... for me. "Well, I'll go get your favorite sandwich, can you wait?" he asked. I nodded my head. I don't even know what kind of sandwich I liked. I just watched him leave, shutting the door slowly behind him.

I grabbed a pink phone that was next to me, assuming it was mine. A face of a girl appeared. Terrified, I turned back, only to see a blank wall. I watched the screen carefully again which was reflecting my appearance. That was how I look like? I was a girl, with long lashes and tiny eyes. My hair was curled at the ends but it wasn't too dense.

I accidentally clicked the power button, opening it unintended. The lock screen was a picture of the same girl earlier, me with the brown-haired guy in it. I was giving him a kiss on the cheek. We actually seemed to be a cute couple. The phone was password protected, so I couldn't open it.

Before I could put it back the door opened and a nurse came in. "Jung Eunji ssi, it's so glad you've awoken. Your boyfriend must be pretty happy." The nurse flashed a smile at me as she wrote something down while checking the machines beside.

"Jung Eunji?" I naturally responses to an unfamiliar name. The nurse giggled, "Yes, you. You really have a handsome boyfriend. Well Eunji ssi, have a good day!" The nurse then left. My name is Jung Eunji? And the brown-haired guy's my boyfriend? I had so many questions I didn't know what to do or say. I didn't know if I should even trust him.

Suddenly someone came in without knocking. It was the brown-haired guy holding a sandwich in his hands. "Here, your favorite tuna sandwich." he said while helping me peel it off. "Thank you," I said. I tried to move my hand so that I could take it from him but I couldn't. "Ow," I whined as my upper arm started to ache.

"Don't worry, I'll feed you." he said, as he took a seat near me and carefully fed me. He was so sweet that I felt even more sorry, his girlfriend doesn't even remember him. "I totally forget," he said. "My name is Kim Seok Jin... you don't remember me, do you?" he said, hiding his frown. "I'm really sorry Seok Jin ssi," I looked down. His soft hands lifted my chin, "I told you Eun Ji ah, you have nothing to be sorry about. It's not your fault... I will tell you everything one by one." he stroked my hair. Somehow, it was convincing. I returned as slight smile.

We finished eating after a short conversation. I learnt my name was Jung Eunji, I'm 24 and I'm well known author. I was true about him being my boyfriend. "Thank you so much, you're really nice to me." I said. He grinned, "I was afraid you would turn cold to me." He was then interrupted by a phone call.

"Yes, that's me. Of course, about that, umm, just a second," he put his phone away and turned to me. "Could you lend a minute?" He asked. I quickly nodded, "I don't see why not." He flashed a quick smile and left the room.

After a few minutes, he came back. "The doctor said you can go home by tomorrow." He cupped my face and sat down next to me, not on the chair but on the bed this time. I blushed hard, failing to response.

"Eun Ji ah," his hands landed on mine, holding it tight. "Move in," he said. Not understanding fully what he meant, I waited for him to continue. "I mean... move in to my house." He softly said, looking deeply into my eyes, full of hope.

Flabbergasted and clueless what my old self would do, I once again froze like a statue. "Is it too much?" He asked, looking away and breaking the eye contact. "N-no," I quickly said, not wanting to disappoint him. "I'd love to." I said, making sure I didn't sound too unsure. "Really?" His face lit up. I nodded with a tiny smile. "Oh my god!" His smile almost hung on his ear. "This is fantastic!" He squealed. I couldn't ruin his happiness. But something, somehow was holding me back. Something from my past... that I don't remember.

Have to admit I don't like first chapters, not even mine. I always blame authors why their first chapters always have to be boring but now I think I totally get it. I'm sorry but I'll try to make it more exciting ~ Sad to say but a few more chapters is just Eunji trying to catch up with her life.
