Did I just hear her correctly? Did she really just say let him catch her?
"OVER MY FUCKING DEAD BODY WILL THAT EVER HAPPEN?" I roar making Violet retreat back into her brothers arms
"Son!" My father scolds, I could barely calm myself down. My mate allowing herself to be taken, I'm on the verge of shifting. I could feel the goosebumps on my skin and a shiver run down my spine
"I'm sorry dad but fuck that idea, I mean what if I get to her too late, what then? What am I suppose to do then when I've only just got her now, then to let her go? I won't do it and I won't let it happen"
Violet nods to her brother who let's her go to come to me. Feeling her arms wrap around my waist as she sits beside me, I was slowly calming down, only a little though and she could feel it.
"I know it's hard for you to comprehend that this is the only way but at least you can have your say... You can come up with a way of saving me.. Yeah?" I felt her lips on my shoulder as I nod turning my head slightly her way
"I don't have to like it but I sure as hell will find a way of protecting you" Putting my arm around her we lean back into the couch
"Come let's not discuss a plan here, you will discuss a plan of action at a proper meeting and if need be, I will issue something with the council" my father says making me nod "Dessert is ready anyway and I'm sure my baby will want her birthday cake"
Violet
Nodding our heads, everyone walks outside but myself and Blaine. I had reluctantly nodded my head to Lucas reassuring him that I am going to be fine
"Blaine" I whisper but he doesn't look my way until I grab his face and turn his head to look at me "I wanted to tell you about my ancestry I really did but there are too many ears in the pack house, there's still people I need to trust... I know you trust them because they've been around you your whole life"
Blaine just nods his head "In the past, people have hunted down my blood line trying to reach favors with the moon goddess, to try and change their fate, I've had ancestors die because of our kinds selfishness, she hasn't turned a blind eye on her creations but she keeps a closer eye on her children and those she has blessed like your family"
Blaine looks up at me with a small smile and kisses the tip of my nose "Did you know that the person who managed to stop the blood alpha, the original one from his rampage was one of my ancestors?" Blaine shakes his head
"But I knew" Kaleb says walking in with a piece of cake for each of us "Not all my family know this, come outside and you can share... It will keep the kids quiet for a bit?" I smile taking Blaine's hand and walking outside to where the kids and adults were sitting down with cake
"So you were saying inside?" Isabelle says making me laugh "Sorry we were just being nosey" I couldn't help but smile back "This is new information for me... Grandson how did you know?"
"Umm great grandpa Darius mentions it in his journals that it was the son of the moon goddess who was able to calm him"
"And we all know the story of how he went insane with wanting blood when his mate was killed? It wasn't the mate who bore him children but his true mate he found later in life who had already had a family, and his true mate happened to be our ancestor" I smile at Blaine whose gaze softens upon learning this
"I never knew that" Lily and Isabelle say looking around at everyone who shrugs their shoulders then looking at each other.
"It's funny that you say that now because in a way both our families are destined to be one big one now" Lacey smiles with Julian sitting on her lap. I smile over at her then squeeze Blaine's hands as he squeezes back
