It was a starry night sky. The slightly cool summer breeze sent shivers down Tsukishima's skin. The leaves of the trees were slightly blowned by the wind too. How can the night sky be so tranquil? Tsukishima thought to himself. But he already knew that the world revolved as if it wouldn't wait for any single soul. Even if he runs of out time, the world will still continue to revolve without care.
The silver moon shone brightly and bathed beings underneath it. The lake near where they stood created slight ripples on the surface of the clear water when another soft breeze blew. The two of them stood quietly and tried to feel the solemn vibe the environment gives them. Tsukishima wanted the world to at least slow down its pace, because he wanted to treasure and feel this moment together with his brother.
He held the cold steel binoculars on his hands, as he looked at his almost paper white brother. His face almost showed no colors, aside from the strawberry blond color his hair is giving away. Akiteru's lovely eyes still held life in them, even when Tsukishima believes that his brother feels sick.
"I think I'm gonna be abducted by aliens soon."
Tsukishima pretended not to hear what his brother said. He traveled his gaze on the vast sky. The moon was majestic as ever, he thought. He then shifted his gaze from the telescope to his brother. His heart hammered.
"What do you mean, Akiteru?"
Akiteru smiled. His smile was like the sun, it gives warmth to anyone and everyone it reaches. Tsukishima tried to calm himself inwardly. He wanted to scream, but he can't. He realized he should not make his brother worry, but deeper within him he knows. He knows that Akiteru is heavily worried. But his face doesn't show.
To Tsukishima, his brother was his sun. His light. His guide. They may have had slight misunderstandings way back, but he was still his brother, the one that he had love graciously.
But unfortunately, his brother's illness had taken to a wrong turn. The doctors say that Akiteru's heart would soon stop beating. Tsukishima couldnt afford losing Akiteru, because he know that he would lose himself at the process.
Tsukishima started back at the endless sky. The stars looked like shining gems scattered in the heavens. His mind drifted to the time where he was 14 when his brother started being engrossed in the extraterrestrial. Akiteru found a buddy, a walking disaster in the shape of Oikawa Tooru. He also found himself falling inlove with the extra terrestrial. Although Dinosaurs comes first and strawberry shortcakes come third.
He saw his brother adjusted the lens of the telescope. The way how bony fingers expertly glided through the body of it pissed Tsukishima. He gritted his teeth, but still chose to stay silent.
Akiteru coughed before chuckling. "You know Kei, its actually a privilege to be abducted by aliens."
Tsukishima rolled his eyes. Trying to swallow down the bile in his throat and blinking the forming tears in his eyes. He walked towards the place where his brother is, and his hands fiddled through the eyepiece of the telescope. He took a look on the eyepiece and adjusted it a bit.
"It's okay now. I've got a clearer view."
Akiteru stood with his hands on his hips. The older man looking at the amazing view before them before continuing. "Being abducted by aliens means that you deserve a much happier place other than Earth."
Tsukishima felt his throat burned. His insides being twisted by emotions he could contain within the blue sweater he was wearing. He gripped the body of the telescope, pretended to look closer at the heavenly bodies.
"You cannot leave me." There. He finay said it. He almost choked, because he felt like the emotions are starting to well up. Tsukishima's focus were still on the heavens. His heart was beating erratically, and his clear vision got blurry because of hot tears forming.
"You know that wouldnt happen, Kei. I just want you to be happy." Akiteru said, with a sad smile on his face. "Check up on Tooru will you? I don't want him bawling at my funeral." he snickered.
Tsukishima he..can't find words to reply. His eyes watered, but he wiped it away before Akiteru would see it. He focused more on the glittered sky. In a second, a passing meteor caught his eye. He inhaled and exhaled before taking his attention away from the telescope and just looked above the heavens, letting the moonlight bathe him gloriously.
He closed his eyes tightly. Tsukishima whispered his thoughts to the moon and back, his hands balled into tight fists. I wish Akiteru would stay.
He wished. And wished. And wished. And wished harder to the moon and stars and to someone beyond this world.
In a glimpse of an eye, Tsukishima knew he had finally ran out of time. But like what he knew, the world revolved without waiting for a single soul. It revolved continuously without care. The moon waxed and waned alongside with it. Alongside with his brother.
He silently caressed the stone engraved with the name of his brother. Another starry nightsky is above them, but the moon was nowhere to be found.
"Akiteru you cheat. You promised me when we were kids..." Tsukishima whispered. "What am I going to do without you?"

May he found peace with the aliens he is with.
He stared once more at the heavens. It was the same, glittered sky he saw when he was together with Akiteru, star gazing. Tsukishima closed his eyes. He wanted this endless sky to devour him completely, erase his existence from this world. How can the night sky be so tranquil when someone is hurting? The world is cruel. That's what he knew from the start.
