A soft, chiming sound woke Tsukishima. Before he openwd his eyes, he flipped over his body and stretched. Lazily, he reached for his phone that was on the bed side table. When he pressed the button, it revealed several messages from different people.
Even though his body feels tired, he tried to move and get up from his bed. He felt sluggish, but at least he's trying his best right? Tsukishima went out his room straight to his kitchen. He wanted to whip out an easy breakfast, and thought that he'd get a proper meal once he left his unit.
With his phone on his left hand, Tsukishima scanned each message, before he tried to open the most urgent one. Most of the messages were from Yamaguchi, and the other staff from the other branch. The messages say that the fabric warehouses called to inform them that the fabrics they ordered got cancelled by somebody else, and were confused as to why someone would do that.
It hasn't been a week after Valentines Day and now he feels tired already. Tsukishima wanted to make some calls as soon as possible, because if things like this would happen, he might have to move the date of the show. After eating his breakfast, he now went to the bathroom and prepared for today. He was brushing his teeth when his phone rang, and it flashed Kuroo's number. His eyebrows met, but he still answered the call.
"Hey."
A sudden burst of warm feeling washed over him. Butterflies scattered and erupted in his stomach, even though the called spoke only one word from the other line.
"Hmm," he replied. Tsukishima moved his toothbrush sideways, and brushed his teeth slowly.
"Good morning," Kuroo said huskily. I somewhat made Tsukishima think that Kuroo just woke up too.
"Good morning," he said in a muffled voice. His hands move to wash the toothbrush, and now bowed slightly so he can rinse off his mouth.
"What are your plans for today?"
Tsukishima eyed himself on the mirror as he thinks of something to say.
"I...will go to work today. We have to settle a lot of problems because of suppliers again," he sighed. Tsukishima chewed on his lower lip before he spoke again. "How about you?"
"I'll drive you to work." he said firmly. "Where are you now?"
Tsukishima swore he could hear Kuroo's soft breathing over the line and it feels like Kuroo was breathing on his neck. He shuddered at the thought.
"I'm still in my unit..." He trailed off. "Just send me a message if you are near."
"Wait for me in 10," Kuroo said. Tsukishima was waiting for Kuroo to end the call, but the man didn't.
"Hello?" Tsukishima said to check if he is still talking to someone over the phone.
"I love you," Kuroo breathed, before he ended the call.
When his eyes moved to look at himself on the mirror, it felt like a bomb has exploded. His face was so red, up until his neck and torso. Tsukishima closed his eyed and tried to stable his breathing, because his heart was beating erratically. Goddamn it, Kuroo Tetsurou.
It wasn't even 10 minutes when he received a message of Kuroo saying that he is already at the entrance of the building. He looked at his reflection in the mirror and without further ado, he grabbed his leather messenger bag before he left his unit. Taking his sweet time walking to the elevator, he fished out his phone from his pocket and wanted to make calls a as soon as possible.
"Hinata? Hey," Tsukishima greeted his friend. The orangehead hummed in responsed, before he chirped a reply.
"What's up Tsukki?"
