Dawn's rosy fingers slowly crept from the horizon, bathing everything in soft pink light. Fluffly clouds lazily floated in the sky, and birds twittered in the trees, filling the surroundings in songs. People started opening shops, greeting each other a good morning, some are shadows in the rooftops, almost invisible unless you paid close attention. Some still, are asleep in their beds peacefully.

As the village slowly woke up at the start of a new day, a small boy stood wide awake in his apartment. He stared at his reflection with nary a word, eyeing his own features closely with a frown.

Spiky blond hair.

Yes, that's right...

Blue eyes.

That's right, too...

Whisker marks on cheeks.

Ye–wait. He wasn't supposed to have that. But no, he had that for as long as he can remember. Wait, that's not right, he remembered he didn't have whisker marks. But he had that since he was born.

"Gahhhh! This is so confusing!" He exclaimed, frustrated. He glared at his reflection. Why does it look right, but also wrong at the same time?

He huffed and decided to not think about it anymore. Let's see if Jiji can treat him some ramen.

Naruto quickly dressed, dodging a few empty ramen cups and dirty clothes on the floor as he ran around the room. He put on his trusty googles and ran to the doorway.

But he paused and looked back at the mess that was his room. He twitched. It's too...dirty. He should be able to take care of his own room, he's not a kid.

The ANBU watching over him twitched in surprise when their charge suddenly went about cleaning his room.
