The Doctor and Rose had come back to the Powell Estate to see Jackie. Everything was going as usual- Rose was spending some time with Mickey and her mum before she and the Doctor went off on their adventures again.

All was well until Rose went out for a walk one night.

Rose had said she needed some air and that she would be back in an hour. The Doctor offered to go with her but she protested and he didn't push it any further, he knew Rose was capable of looking after herself- she had proved that to him many times now.

As Rose stepped outside, she felt the icy air whipping across her face. She was used to the cold London weather, Rose just pulled her jacket closer to her and walked off down the street.

The Doctor watched Rose trudge off into the night, feeling a little cautious. He had a sense of being afraid for her but couldn't work out why so he soon brushed it aside, Rose would be perfectly fine. If only he had listened to his instincts that night...

Soon enough it started to snow and the temperature dropped another couple degrees. Rose was really feeling the chill now, she could feel it seeping through her clothes and into her bones. She decided to stop in a cafe and grab a hot chocolate (hot cocoa) to warm her up. Rose entered a 24 hour cafe and ordered her drink.

As she sat at the cafe drinking her beverage, she thought about what had been on her mind.

Rose thought about the Doctor.

She loved him, she was sure of it and yet, he would never feel the same. It was impossible for him to love her, he would never go against his rules, it was wrong. The Doctor was a Timelord. Rose was a human.
Sure, there was the casual hand holding, cuddling, flirting and amazing hugs but Rose thought they didn't mean anything to him, even if they meant the world to her

Rose let her thoughts to drift to what it would be like if she could be with the Doctor, how exciting everything would be. How he would hold her. How he would kiss her...

" 'Ello love" .
Rose was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a deep voice. She looked up and saw a buff man towering over her. Rose smiled back, she was used to this kind of thing.

"Hello, are you alright mate?"

"I sure am sweetheart, now that I have you in my sights", the man answered.

"Um, what do you mean?", Rose was beginning to feel uncomfortable, this man was hitting on her, in a small cafe at midnight. That definitely wasn't normal.

"The Master is gonna be so happy with me, eh?", the man grinned down at her, his voice sounded menacing and Rose could feel her heartbeat increase.

"Oh, um, okay... We'll I better be goin' then", Rose stuttered quickly as she picked up her bag and started for the door.
Before she could reach the exit, the man grabbed her arm and twisted her around.

"I don't think so darlin'", the man whispered as he pulled out a cloth and held it over Rose's mouth.
Rose smelt some kind of chemical before she passed out and collapsed into the man's arms.

"Gotcha now", the man muttered as he easily picked up Rose and carried her out of the cafe.

****

It had been 2 weeks.
2 weeks since Rose went missing and the Doctor wasn't sleeping, eating or barely even moving unless it was to try and find Rose.
He was worried sick.
Something had happened to her, she is in trouble, he could sense it.

The Doctor had tried everything, he'd looked everywhere in England, sometimes making trips across Europe. The Doctor even tried telling the police, though he doubted that they would be able to find her if he couldn't.

Jackie and Mickey were conducting search parties- practically half of England new that a girl named Rose Tyler was missing.

It wasn't until 2 days later that the Doctor heard a message come through on the TARDIS console. He crawled out from underneath console- he had been tinkering, trying to gather his thoughts.

An icon on the screen showed that it was a video message from an unknown source.
The Doctor tapped a few things and the video began to play.

As soon as he saw the face, heard the voice and felt the feeling of dread in his stomach, he knew it had everything to do with Rose.

"Hello Doctor" , the Master's sly voice crept into the TARDIS as it echoed throughout the empty room.

"I just wanted to say, I'm sorry. I definitely didn't mean to kill her... It just sort of happened. She wouldn't give me any information on you and so, she needed... punishment" , the Master said matter- of -factly with a smile on his face.

The Doctor was filled with rage, sadness and loss.

The Master killed Rose...

He murdered Rose...

Rose...

The woman the Doctor loved...

The Doctor's light...

The Master killed Rose and he doesn't even care, he is smiling...

He is smiling about killing Rose.

The Doctor collapsed on the ground, tears were streaming down his face and sobs were uncontrollably escaping his mouth.

The Doctor thought it was his fault. He thought he didn't protect her. It was his job, and he failed.

The Master's last words on the message sliced through the Doctor's hearts.

"You'll find her body soon".

With that, the Doctor hauled himself up. He dialed in the coordinates that the message came from, hoping to find the Master.

The familiar whooshing and droning sound was heard and the Doctor marched straight out the door in absolute hysteric rage.

He was full of hatred, anger and revenge.

"MASTER!" , the Doctor boomed as he stepped into an empty warehouse with only a few crates scattered around the corners.

"GIVE HER BACK TO ME! I DEMAND THAT YOU GI-", the Doctor stopped short.
He spotted a flash of colour as he swung his head around. He turned to face where he saw the colour and knew all too well.

It was the colour of blonde hair...  matted with blood.

The Doctor stood still, unable to move. He suddenly heard a silky voice bounce around the room.

"It's her, Doctor. Go on, go have a look", the Master had some how transmitted his voice into the room. He wasn't physically there.

The Doctor slowly moved a foot forward and then another and then he was sprinting towards the body. Rose's body.

The Doctor broke down, kneeling over Rose's fatally wounded body.
She had been electrocuted, it had sent her heartbeat into a frenzy and there was no medical help availiable. It had killed her.
She had also hit her head when she fell to the concrete ground, that's where the blood was coming from.

The Doctor felt empty and alone. There was a pit in his stomach and it would never be filled. He was sobbing and moaning, clutching Rose to his chest. He would give anything if he could feel her arms wrap around him once more.

He would give anything to tell her he loved her. Rose died without knowing that the Doctor loved her. He loved her with every beat of his hearts, every breath he breathed in and out, every step he took in the universe, every thought he had, every cell in his body lived for her.

The Doctor loved Rose Tyler more than anything in the universe and now.. She is gone.
