Maybe Matty will tell this part after all I was in a coma for most of it. Seriously, the assassination attempts are pretty lame at this point. Who puts the princess (or queen, however you look at it), in a coma. Comas don't kill people, I think. Maybe I need to go back to school. Anyway, here is the story. One more thing, if you ever visit Batsam, don't jump off the cliffs. They are quite dangerous, what with the actual spikes at the bottom and the man eating mosquitos. Now, back to the story, I promise.

After I fell asleep under that tree, leaning against Matthew, things changed. I don't know how, but it was magical. Of course, everything I do is magical. It was just different. I don't know what it was, but I wish I knew at that time. I still don't know.

I woke up and I was in the strangest place. Everything was how I remember it, but nobody saw me or heard me. Everyday, Matthew sat beside me and whispered to me about his day and how he was going to fix me. I didn't know I was broken, but I followed him around, everyday.

I was like a ghost at that point and I can tell you what started it. It started after I ran away from everybody. I ran into the market and people recognized me and started handing me free food,  food that I shooed away, getting angrier by the minute and the rain turned into an actual storm. I became hungry and stopped at a pie stand, and bought one, not knowing that it had a coma potion in it and not meant for me but for someone else.

"I wish she would just wake up. I miss seeing her smile. She was fun and maybe a little crazy but she is my whole world. You just don't understand Brandon." Matthew spoke to Brandon interrupting my monologue.

Just great guys.

"I only understand that you fell in love with her over the years. Which is understandable. Who wouldn't. She is kind, loving, pretty, talented, fun, funny, and just all around amazing. Matty is her personal nickname for you so don't let anybody else call you Matty." Brandon murmured, looking at my sleeping body.

Dude, I am right here! Talk to me. Jesus! What has this world come to?

"Yeah. True. Thanks for never leaving me alone. I might try and join her in a coma, but then we'd be together, and I can finally tell her how I feel. She might think it is fast, but aliens have a longer life span than humans, and quite frankly, she also knows more than she lets on, and she hides so much of herself. I just wish that I knew what she really wanted in life." Matty sighed.

Aw, Matty. You are so blind. That's okay. You can stay blind. Just hurry up and find a way to wake my body up. It is so lonely here. At least I can see the others in comas. Which is good, but they talk way to much for my liking. Only I can talk a lot, because I am going to be queen one day.

"Do you think she hears us?" Brandon asked after a moment of silence.

Yeah I hear you guys.

"I don't know. I hope so. If Shyla can hear us, then she knows that I love her. Not just because of her title like most people, but because I spent so much time with her and I know her better than most. I may not know what she hides deep down, but that is enough for me. It makes her just a little mysterious and I like mysteries." Matty sighed, leaning down to kiss my cheek, as I've seen him do a hundred times before.

"I found a way to wake her up!" a doctor shouted coming in.

"How?" Matty asked hopeful.

"Do you know where Cliff Batsam is?"

"Yeah, who doesn't?" Matty answered, confused.

"The spikes down there kill people who aren't in comas, because it is meant to restore what is missing. Her soul is missing from her body. Her soul wanders around and we tried with the other coma victims. They all came back just fine. They all even said that they saw her when they were in the coma, she spoke to them, and that she was sad most of the time. They didn't say why, because they didn't know." The doctor explained.

That explains why it is so quiet here. Everybody left me.

"What else did they say about her?" Matty asked, desperation in his eyes.

Matty, I will talk to you soon. Be quiet and let the doctor throw me off that darned cliff.

"They all said that she follows you around, and talks to you. She hears you just fine, but she wants you to hear her so badly." the doctor replied as a little girl burst into the room, and I became excited.

"She said 'Matty, I will talk to you soon. Be quiet and let the doctor throw me off that darned cliff.'" a young girl spoke.

Magdelina, you visited! You were always such a sweetheart. The others however, they wear on your nerves a little, don't you agree?

"I agree a hundred percent, Princess Shyla." Magdelina answered me.

"You can still hear her?" Matty asked.

Duh Dorris. She can hear me and communicate with me. Maybe Matty needs to become comatose.

"Do you want me to be her voice?" Magdelina asked.

"Yes, please." Matthew answered politely.

"Well she said, 'Duh Dorris. She can hear me and communicate with me. Maybe Matty needs to become comatose.'"

"Maybe. Then we can fall off the cliff together, but I prefer staying in this state. It must be hard for you, Shyla. Shyla, I probably won't get the courage to tell you in person, but I love you, with all my heart." Matty sighed, cheeks red.

Aw, Matty is cute when he is embarrassed. I love him too, but don't tell him that. He needs to say it in person, Magdelina.

"Okay, Princess Shyla."

Magdelina just call me Shyla or Shy. My friends all do. I prefer it if you do as well.

"Okay...Shyla." Magdelina, smiled where I stood and everyone turned but saw nothing.

Maybe they all need special glasses. Ooh, Magdelina, can you go fetch a royal gown? I would like to wear one when I wake. Maybe Matty just needs to kiss me then I can wake, but he will never do it, right Magdelina?

"Right, Shyla. I agree. Matthew is chicken. I will go fetch that gown for you and I will tell him what you said."

You can go ahead and tell him I say he's chicken for not kissing me, when he had the chance. He already kicks himself over it.

"Matthew she says that you're chicken because you didn't kiss her when you have the chance. Don't shoot me, I am just the messenger. I must go fetch that gown. What color?"

I am feeling white.

"White is perfect. I will go and get it." Magdelina curtsied then hurried from the room, while Matthew just glared at where she was.

"Fine, Princess Shyla. I shall kiss you now, just to prove a point." Matty growled before turning to face me and softly pressed his lips to mine, and the comatose world collapsed and I was back in my body again.

"Took you long enough." I whispered.

"You're awake!" Matty shouted, hugging me as Magdelina appeared with the gown.

"That was fast, Magdelina. Now, everybody out, except Magdelina." I ordered, getting out of bed.

"But, my love." Matty pouted.

"Matty, I promise it won't take long, but I am changing." I smiled at him and kissed his cheek, and shooed him from the room.

"He kissed you?"

"Yeah. Took him long enough. Now let's get me into that gown, shall we?" I asked, smiling.

"Sure. Let's get you into the gown, and take your boy toy out to see the town."

"Ooh! Great idea!" I exclaimed as I stepped into the gown that Magdelina brought for me.

"Perfect." Magelina said, as the door opened and Matty rushed in, and grabbed my hand.

"Matty. What's going on?"

"Invaders. We have to leave now. Magdelina, you coming?"

"No. I fight with my people so Shyla can leave. Hurry back and announce her ascension." Magdelina urged us out of the door.
