"Hurry she's coming too. Make sure she can't use her magic." a deep masculine voice ordered, sounding far away.
"Ugh. What happened?" I questioned rubbing my temples, where my head pounded.
"We kidnapped you."
"No dip, Captain Obvious." I snorted, standing up and shifting to the Batsamic lioness, and started preening my fur.
"Shift back and answer my questions!" shouted the male, rattling the bars on my cage. In response I spat venom at his face, and teleported off the space ship to the nearest planet and started walking around the planet which was full of trees that hissed at me.
"What is a Batsamic lioness doing here, King Mhany?" a little boy asked.
"I don't know, but let's just return her to Batsam. Be careful she can spit venom." King Mhany warned the boy, while I shifted to my human form.
"Hello? Can someone please tell me where I am? I was kidnapped from my palace on Batsam and I seem to be lost when I teleported off the spaceship." I asked, spinning in a circle, my clothes burning away leaving the royal gown of Batsam, shrunken to fit my human form.
"Queen Shyla of Batsam?" the little boy asked, approaching behind me, and I spun around.
"Yes?" I asked, kneeling down, and studying the little boy.
"You are on the planet of Volnatia. You are in the wrong solar system for Batsam. I will get in contact with someone from Batsam. In the meantime, we must get you inside where you can get back to your normal self. I believe your captors tried to take your magic. You are considerably weaker. You must be hungry." King Mhany suggested, leading me out of the trees and towards a large castle, while I picked up the little boy and carried him.
"Thanks for your kindness, King Mhany. Do you mind if I try shifting to my normal form?" I asked looking at my human arms and groaning inwardly.
"First eat some food, then you can shift. The food should give you enough of a magic boost that you can shift to any form you desire. I wouldn't try teleporting your crown, though. That will take at least a week. I am an ally of Batsam so I know just who to contact, but do you have any preferences?" King Mhany asked, looking at me and the little boy, who I carried in my arms while he napped.
"Yes, Miss Elfeya, please. I also need Branki, Matty, my advisor and King Harvey, and their trusted friends in the royal guard. I am upping my security. I am not getting kidnapped ever again." I growled softly, keeping the noise to a low level for the sleeping boy.
"My son must think you are very trustworthy and everything good, because he is asleep. I will let you write the scroll to Miss Elfeya. The mail here delivers very fast so your response should be here within a few minutes of writing the scroll."
"Thanks again King Mhany." I smiled, and handed him his son so I can write the scroll to Miss Elfeya and true to his words a few minutes after I sent the scroll I had a response.
I read the scroll over and over again, smiling to myself. "Miss Elfeya used to be the wife of my advisor, but he died and she left for Batsam after crying herself out of tears. I miss seeing Miss Elfeya everyday. I am glad that she has a new purpose. Taking care of the chosen Batsam Queen." King Mhany sighed.
"I am sorry about your advisor. I know that if Brandon would die, I would be lost, but then I'd have Miss Elfeya and my other friends. You are welcome to Batsam whenever. If you come bring your son. I want to show him the wonders of Batsam." I smiled taking the kid back, and kissing his forehead and humming a lullaby.
"You would make a great mother and an even greater queen. I am glad that your expansion has gone well."
"Me too. My people are getting crowded so I am giving the poorest people first opportunity to go to the new planets under Batsam rule. I made a promise to my people that I'd help them with whatever they needed. I would also love to invite you to the Dance of the Alien Race day, on Batsam." I smiled, following King Mhany to a comfy foyer.
"I haven't been to one of those since your grandfather was king. Now that you are queen I will start aging again, which is great, because I was a baby when you great grandmother was queen. That is well over a hundred years ago. I expect that you will live forever or darn close to forever. You are the first one in your whole family to have the throne choose you."
"Really? So did the first in my family just take the throne because they had power or did they marry into the throne from a different kingdom?" I asked, trying to learn more, when Prince Charlie awoke with a start.
"Mommy?" he murmured sleepily.
"No, I am not mommy. I am Queen Shyla, but you can call me Shy or Shyla." I told the prince who fell back asleep, with a mental nudge.
"His mother died last year. He does that in his sleep when he is being carried or held by someone who is like his mother in more than five ways. Go ahead and sit on the couch. You must be sore and tired."
"I am, but it is manageable for now." I yawned, with a smile.
"Sure. I will take my son from you and you can just lay there. I will call some maids first to make it comfortable." King Mhany informed me, tugging on a rope.
"I don't have one of those in my castle. Most of my servants follow me around and if there is none around, I talk to a computer and the computer tells the servants what is needed and where." I spoke, standing up and handing the prince to his father while the maids made the coach comfortable for me. "Thanks, ladies." I smiled, before laying down on the coach and falling asleep the moment my head hit the pillow.
