I sputtered awake, immediately checking my pulse and saw Matty looking at me strangely.
"Bad dream?" he asked, concern on his face.
"I guess so. I mean, I like died, but I am obviously here, and so are you, and who is King Jared and what's a Mycantina?" I answered, looking around.
"King Jared rules Istala. It's an alien planet that is incredibly weak. The Mycantina is the most legendary weapon of all times. Nobody can wield it, but you did, in your sleep, while you were talking. Anything I didn't know I asked a historian. The Mycantina was, indeed, created at the beginning of time and is the most powerful weapon anyone can wield. There is actually nothing about who would wield it in the future, but the maker, Lord Gerome, knew who it would be made for and created the weapon around that person. Lord Gerome also stated in his reports of the weapon that there was no right or wrong way to wield it and that it all just depended on the female that could wield it. It reacts extremely well with your abilities. These elf creatures stopped by and told me that they'd be in your closet to pick out your outfits for anything." Matty explained to me, as he handed me a cup of coffee.
"Oh. Thanks for the coffee Matty. It was a sweet gesture." I smiled, taking a sip, and burning my tongue
"Don't burn your tongue or hurt yourself please. I feel it." Matty requested.
"Oh. Why do you feel it?" I asked, setting the coffee down to cool.
"It's because you completed the first test, and I completed all my tests, regarding how protected you are. Now I feel everything that you feel when you are in danger or hurt. Literally your magic runs through my veins, just enough to keep me alive and to kick start me back to life if I were to actually die. I looked into it when you said something about me dying, which was quite terrifying, but everybody said to never leave your side, so I didn't." Matty answered.
"Phew. Now I won't die if I use the Mycantina to save you, will I?" I asked, still a little confused.
"No. The Mycantina is used only in battle, and you destroyed the furniture in the living room, so I carried you to your room shortly before you woke, while I called someone to clean up the mess." Matty announced, shivering.
"Are you cold?" I asked, tilting my head, not realizing that I was in my alien form.
"No. Just nervous. Your alien form is really freaky. Pink cat eyes and those wicked sharp, and incredibly long canines of yours are pretty scary. I see now why nobody crossed you when you wanted something ridiculous at the market." Matty answered, looking down.
"Oh. Matty, look at my tail. It's twitching! Something bad is about to happen." I growled, crouching and grabbing the Mycantina, prepared for battle, stretching my senses farther than I ever had before.
"Be quiet, Princess Shyla will be able to hear soon. We can't let her know that we are going to kidnap Matty by order of King Jared." the first guy growled, as the other snapped twigs and stuff.
"She can't hear us now, can she?" the second asked, his voice sounding scratchy.
"No. She can't. King Jared informed us that she is recently risen, so she is weak. It will be easy for both of them to die. We can't have have them alive or else the whole alien species will be under her control." the first answered, shushing the other guy, as they neared my normal hearing range.
"Hey Matty, let's go bake a cake." I suggested, grabbing the Mycantina and heading towards the kitchen, which led down to the basement which was always secure from the outside and inside.
"Okay." Matty asked, confused, but followed me anyway, and his confusion cleared up as we headed into the basement, and I closed the heavy metal doors.
"People are here to kidnap you. We fight them, because as much as I hate your bossiness, you are vital. The mycantina will help in battle. It is a battle weapon right?" I asked, quickly, unsure of how long it will take them to approach.
"Yeah. Let's go bake that 'cake'" Matty smiled, kissing my cheek, grabbing eggs as a disguise.
"Okay. Thanks for helping me bake a cake, Matty. It's so sweet of you." I giggled, taking the eggs from him when he almost dropped them.
"I am not sure I can cook, but we will see, won't we?" Matty asked as the two men planning to kidnap Matty burst in, and I teleported the Mycantina to my hand, blocking the two men from getting to Matty as I stretched all my senses and slowed down time, so I could defeat them quicker to the others.
"Get past her." the first man growled in slow motion, and I quickly stepped forward and quickly began attacking the second man, before focusing on the first.
"I will leave." the first man whimpered, again in slow motion.
"You better." I hissed, resuming time back to normal.
"How did you do that?" Matty asked.
"Do what?" I asked, innocently. I knew what he was referring to, I just didn't want to answer any questions at the moment.
"Move extremely fast."
"I slowed down time and it sped up my reactions." I shrugged, escorting the first guy out, Matty on my heels.
"May I at least tell King Jared what happened here today?"
"Whatever. I am not your ruler. I can't stop you once you get back to Istala." I shrugged, slamming the door closed once he was gone.
"Okay, that just happened. So Princess Shyla, what do we do now to 'die'" Matty asked me.
"Now we just set the house on fire. Use the real life dummies." I ordered, grabbing the lighter fluid and the matches and started splashing the fluid all around the really flammable surfaces and sprinkled some all over the place.
"Done setting up the dummies in our beds as if we were asleep and I did the same with the one that was your mother's. Are you done here?" Matty asked as I finished splashing the lighter fluid leading in a path to the outlets in every room and up the stairs, barely visible, but the scent lingered in my nose.
"Yeah. I just need to strike the match and set it." I smiled, striking the match that I held in my hand and lowered it to the trail and it instantly set ablaze as I straightened and blew out the match and teleported us to the lovely city of Bantalan on Batsam. I don't know if it was ovely, but who cares? Matty is related to the king of elves, so we met his representatives there.
