So Matty and I took off in a spaceship going anywhere but Batsam. The Milky Way Galaxy was over a million light years away and the ship we doesn't have a working teleporter. Really people. We could've used it to escape. We haven't come across anyone and we are floating in space, in a ship powered by song.

"We have to announce my ascension, Matty. It's the only way to save my people from further damage. They invaders will think twice and retreat to come up with a better game plan, and then we train everybody." I argued for the millionth time.

"No, it's too dangerous."

"For you or for me?" I challenged.

"For the both of us. Unless you can come up with a way to make us invisible to every eye then we can get through to announce your ascension."

"I can. Remember how we stole the ship. How is the guard doing anyway? He hasn't died yet has he? I did blast him with enough magic to kill a large animal." I asked, worried for the guard, looking at the heap of a man on the floor.

"He is fine. I checked for a pulse while you were showering. Before you got out I had to knock him out again. If you can do it for the two of us for a long time then we have us a plan."

"I just need lots of food and sleep for the next few days so you will be on your own."

"Do whatever you need, Shyla. I trust you with my life." Matthew murmured, kissing my cheek as I passed by him.

"I will see you in a little bit for food break." I smiled, squeezing his hand as I walked into my personal quarters.

"Hey, baby, I wondered when you would first use that spell. Your mother and I added onto the spell. The version you used is more powerful than the one we could do. It allows you to see the dead and be invisible. Your boyfriend there will also be able to see the dead." my father spoke, sitting on the bed, even though I could see through him, I wanted to hug him so badly.

"Hey daddy. I can't believe you left me and mother like that. Do you even know the damage that you did?" I growled, shutting the door, and walking over to my fully stocked mini fridge.

"Yeah. I am sorry. At least you grew into your powers, even though you still got some growing to do before you can fully rule over Batsam."

"You are not my father. My father would never say that to me. Even when he was drunk, which was like never,  he never said that I couldn't do anything because I wasn't good enough."

"Congratulations, Princess Shyla. You passed. You now have the blessing of the Council of Elders to become the queen of Batsam." the ghost spoke, morphing into an unfamiliar man.

"Thanks, sir. I was going to ascend anyway, is is my birthright after all. Now I won't have much trouble now that the council has my blessing." I smiled, and regally inclined my head.

"Hey, Princess Shyla, why am I seeing dead people?" Matty asked me.

"Mr. Grean, you have done a fine job. Princess Shyla is very pretty and almost at her full power, impressive." th e ghost smiled.

"Hello, father. I didn't do anything, father. Princess Shyla makes it easy, because she doesn't do much of anything since her parents died. Before then, my job was a lot harder. She kept sneaking out to go to parties and always ditched me somehow."

"That's because I have friends everywhere, Matty. You are Matty's father? The one who was so hard on him that he felt he couldn't do anything?" I growled at the ghost, coming perilously close to transforming.

"Yes. I did it so he would be used to disappointment. I give you guys my blessing if you wish to marry or anything." the ghost smiled, and bowed before disappearing.

"Calm down, Shyla. You can't transform just yet." Matthew warned me, which sent me over the edge and I started to morph into my alien form.

My long, pretty blonde hair fell away in curtains from my head and was replaced with thick, shining, glowing, gold hair. My arms and legs lengthened and my skin darkened a shade to become a brilliant golden brown. My teeth sharpened to razor points and my nails became sharp, deadly claws. My sharp blue eyes, turned into a deceiving delicate shade of pink. Just like that my transformation was complete. I even had a tail that peeked out from underneath the gown that fixed itself to my body, and my ears were just a little pointed, almost like an elf or a fairy.

"I told you to calm down. Now you have ascended and we aren't even near Batsam." Matthew growled, looking up at me.

"Don't growl at me." I hissed, crouching.

"Fine. What do you want to do, your highness."

"We teleport to Batsam." I said matter-of-factly, straightening.

"Okay. The teleporter is broken."

"I am not broken." I growled.

"You can teleport us?" Matthew asked in surprise.

"Duh. Let's see where at in Batsam?"  I asked.

"The Palace of the Queens. That's where we announce your ascension. Everyone will test you. You must pass the tests before you can become queen though. Don't worry, you got what it takes to pass the tests."

"Are you sure?" I asked, feeling pressured to pass the tests he was speaking about.

"Yes. You were trained at birth for this. I know you can do this."

"Okay. Let's do this, then." I sighed, and teleported us to The Palace of the Queens. We were immediately surrounded by an army.

"That's Princess Shyla!" "The Princess has arrived!" "She must be announcing her ascension." the voices spoke up and rose to a dull roar until I help up my hand.

"You all know that I am Princess Shyla Lee Hyannis. I am the Daughter of King Roger Henry Hyannis and Queen Lillian Cali Brunhem Hyannis. I am here today to announce my ascension. I plan to take the throne that is mine by birthright." I spoke to the quiet army.

"You do realize you will be tested before you can even sit on the throne, right?" a general asked me.

"Yeah. I know. I am ready for whatever gets thrown my way." I smiled, catching the pineapple that someone tossed at me. I got the fruit out and started eating it.

"Cool. First test is tomorrow at noon." the general said and the army left.

"I hope the test is like super fun!" I exclaimed walking out, my mind occupied, after I had finished the fruit from the pineapple.
