"What the hell is your problem?!?" Amara yelled.
"What do you mean what is my problem? You all hugged up on this dude like he's the one you're dating. You haven't been responding to my texts or calls. Like what the fuck?" Joshua responded.
"He's been my friend since I was little, and I haven't seen him in a long time. We've just been catching up. You need to chill out."
"Nah, cause if I was hugged up on some girl like that, no matter how long we'd know each other, you'd feel some type of way. If I ignored you for some other chick, you'd feel some type of way. So don't tell me to calm down."
"But I'm not dating him. I'm dating you."
"You haven't been acting like it recently. And I don't appreciate that."
"Are you serious right now?" Amara asked in disbelief.
"I'm deadass serious. I understand wanting to hang out with ole dude. But you should at least contact your ACTUAL BOYFRIEND to let him know you're fucking alright."
"Babe,"
"I need some time to get my anger under control. So, you can go."
"Josh,"
"No, Amara. That shit is disrespectful. This dude pops up and you all of a sudden forget about Luca and I. Nah, man. Can you go? I'll let you know when I got myself in control."
"Uh...I..."
"Go. Please." Joshua said softly.
Tears welled up in Amara's eyes as she turned, walked out the door, and to her car.
"Fuck!!" Both Amara and Josh yelled.
Amara sped out of the driveway.
Joshua walked up the stairs, slamming his bedroom door behind him.
Luca sat inside his room by the bedroom door, his face wet with tears and his heart broken.
