"Mara, there's someone at the door for you."

Luca used his finger to raise one of Amara's eyelids, waking her up.

"You opened the door by yourself?!" Amara hopped up out of the bed, careful not to wake up Joshua.

"You and papa were still asleep. He had been knocking for a long time. I'm sorry." Luca apologized, lowering his head slightly.

Amara sighed, picking him up.

"Just make sure you don't do it again. Ok?"

"Ok."

"Now go brush your teeth, while I go downstairs."

"Ok!" She placed Luca down and he took off down the hallway.

Amara tied a robe around her, heading downstairs. She made sure to take a bat out the hallway closet and place it at the kitchen entrance just in case whoever at the door wasn't welcomed.

Amara turned the corner to see the back of a darkskin, 6 foot male.

"Drew?"

The male turned around.

"Oh my god, Drew!!" Amara yelled as she ran and koala hugged him.

"Wassup M!!"  Drew replied as he wrapped his arms around Amara's waist.

They stayed with Amara's legs wrapped around his waist, basking in the feeling of being together again.

"I can't believe you're here! I've missed you so much!" Amara exclaimed, leaning back to look at Drew.

"I missed you, so I decided to take the trip down."

Amara was about to respond but was cut off by the sound of a throat clearing behind her. She turned around to see Joshua standing there, his arms crossed and an odd look in his eyes.

Amara hopped down, walking towards Josh. Leaning up to kiss him, Josh turned his head slightly making the kiss land on his cheek. Amara looked at him in slight confusion. She decided to let it go for right now.

"Drew, this is my boyfriend Joshua. The little boy who answered the door is his son Luca.

"Babe, this is my friend Andrew."

Drew stepped up, holding his hand out.

"Nice to meet you man."

Josh stared at Drew's hand for a second before shaking it.

"Same." Was all he said. He then turned around and walked upstairs.

"Okayyyy." Drew said awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck.

"I'm sorry. I don't know why he's acting like that. But anyways, what are you up to while you're here?"

"I honestly don't know. I was hoping you could show me around." Drew stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"Of course!! Just let me get ready. You can sit there on the couch." Amara pointed to the couch before taking off upstairs.
