I woke up that night to see that the camp had been picked up and the fire was out.
" What's going on Shiraku? Why are we packed up?
" We're leaving to find a job. I was going to let you sleep until I was ready to go."
" Oh alright." I stood up, shivering, and looked down at my cloths, then sighed to Shiraku.
" What's wrong babe," Shiraku said with a tender love in his voice.
" Nothing Hun," I said with a fake smile. Shiraku slowly walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me, holding me close. Shirakus arms were light, and the hug was warm and loving. I curled up to him, still shivering, as he rubbed my back.
" You need new cloths babe. We are near a town that we can get a job in." The leaves moved slightly and Shiraku drew his sword and stood in a defensive position. A man with a ten foot, gold plated, claymore sword stepped out of the bush and smiled evilly. His hair was down to his shoulder's and he wore some of the finest cloths in the land.
" If you step down now, I shall spare your life. Only if you give me all of your positions," The man said in an evil tone, making my shake slightly. I stepped out in front of Shiraku and pushed his sword down
" Kire, get out of the way now," Shiraku said in a pleading voice. I pulled my sword out of its sheath, holding it like shiraku. The man smirked and came at me, thrashing his sword against mine hard.
He leaned down to my level, examining my eyes. " You're the princess to that rare vampire kingdom. I'll get a lot of money out of you." The man thrashed his sword against mine again, knocking it of my hands, making them bleed. I growled deeply and demonically and the man smiled at me. The man smiled as y eyes changed colors and he bent down to me whispering, " you're even more beautiful in your vampire form."
I drew my bleeding hand back and slapped him hard across the face, knocking him back. The man growled and came at me with full force. He drew his hand back about to strike me in the face when I caught his hand, twisting it behind his back. He growled deeper and I pushed his body away from his arm breaking his shoulder, wrist, and elbow. The man yelled in pain as I pulled out a small dagger and pushed it into his spin slowly. I dragged the dagger up his back and listened to his blood-curdling screams. I watched his blood drip onto the dagger and onto my hand as Shiraku pulled me back from my shoulders and held me in his arms. The mans yells grew less and less as they stopped, along with his breathing. I smiled as my eyes turned white and I faced shiraku.
" Why did you do that to that man!?" Shiraku had a worried tone in his voice that I found amusing.
" He tried to hurt you that is why I did it," I said harmlessly. I bent down and picked up the large coin purse then handed it to Shiraku. He opened it and his eyes widened and he smiled brightly. I picked up the claymore and handed it to him. He stepped back and swung it like it was nothing, hitting a tree then he balanced himself, along with the sword.
" Well this sword is not to my liking but it will bring in a good bit of gold." My eyes turned back to normal and I stared at him. Shiraku gently placed the sword on the round and pulled me close. ' The next town is a few days away if we walk. Do you want to ride?"
"Ride? We have no transportation."
Shiraku handed me the stuff he was carrying and took in a deep breath. I feel to the ground and looked up at the man, that had promised me my protection, only to be looking into the eyes of a dragon. He bent down so I crawl on his back. I took a step back and gazed at the dragon before me and was horrified. He laid his head down, showing he would not hurt me, and I stood and put the bags onto his back then crawled up on him. I nuzzled close to his neck and he flapped his massive wing, picking us up off the ground. The view was amazing from their and I could breath much better. Slowly,I grew tired and closed my eyes, dozing off.
Shiraku let out a loud roar that sent chills trough my body. Six yards up was another dragon about twice the size of Shiraku.
" Shiraku, he dosen't see us, we can land/"
"I'll slow up and let him get further ahead." Shiaku said using telepathy.
" Just land, please." Worry began to build inside my chest and Shiraku slowed his flying, coming to a halt and gliding to the ground. Shiraku turned back to his human form and held me close to him.
" The next town is a few hours away by walking. Would you like me to carry you on my back the rest of the way?"
"Will you please?"
Shiraku handed me the bags, which I slipped onto my back, and picked me up. I felt his warmth and I felt safe. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
