Chapter Seventeen

This chapter will skip ahead to where they go home. Sorry for the huge skip I just really needed to get this story moving.  If you don't know what happens before this, I recommend you go and watch season two. 

************************ JEWEL POV********

"Oh look, they've already opened the portal for us," Emma says as we approach the lake where Cora, Killian and a portal were waiting. I avoided looking at Killian as I still haven't forgiven him for leaving us locked up in Rumple's cell back at Snow White's castle. He just left us there and went with Cora after stealing back the compass, he didn't even look back. 

Turns out what Emma said happened at the top of the beanstalk wasn't true, she lied to us because she didn't trust Killian. Killian was going to help us but Emma being Emma, didn't believe him and left him handcuffed up there so we could get a head start. Safe to say Emma got quite the beating from me, her lip is still cut from where my ring caught her. 

"You? No, I think you mean us. We have the golden compass" Cora smirks holding up the compass. 

"Not for long" Mary Margret says clutching her bow. 

"Ah Snow, dear, dear Snow has anyone not told you? Having hope always leads to bad things" Cora's eyes lock with mine. "Of course Jewel, you don't have to stay here with them. Come back with us and be happy. We can be the family we always were meant to be"

"That got thrown out of the window when I was five and you killed my father right in front of me" I state. "You're no grandmother of mine and you're not getting to Storybrooke"

"Foolish girl." She chuckles. "Are you really going to stand up and fight against me? Against your true love?" 

"If that what it takes," I say. 

"I'm more powerful than you"

"We had the same teacher so we'll see"

Cora's eyes turned dark and she attempted to throw a fireball my way. I quickly move out of the way and watch as it hits a near by tree. She hisses before vanishing in a poof of gray smoke but I know she hasn't actually gone. Killian draws his sword and waits for us to attack. I really don't want to have to fight him but I have no other choice. 

"Okay, mum, Mulan, and Jewel, you keep any eye out for Cora," Emma says looking at us all.

"What are you going to do?" I ask. 

"Deal with Killian"

Oh hell no! "No you are not" I grab her arm as she starts to walk away from us. 

"Jewel now is not the time to get protective of him" 

"He's my true love Emma, of course, I'm going to be protective of him" I roll my eyes. "But that's not the reason why I'm not letting you. Don't think I haven't noticed the looks you've been giving him"

"I don't know what you're talking about," She says all defensive. 

"Yeah, you do" I hiss and push her back. "It's the same look I gave him before we got together. Now, just to be clear Swan" I move closer to her so I'm in her face. "If you even think about trying something or doing something to split us up, that cut on your lip won't be the only thing I give you. Do you understand?"

"Jewel-"

"Do you understand?" I ask again and she nods. "Good, now you look out for Cora and I'll deal with Killian."

She nods again and goes to help Mulan and Mary Margret. I take a deep breath and walk over to Killian who was stood watching the scene unfold. Once he saw it was me walking over to him, he lowers his sword slightly and his face drops.
