Jewel POV:

"Jewel sweetie, are you nearly ready? We're running late as it is" Regina called up the stairs and I straightened out my dress.

"Yeah, I'm coming!"

Looking at my outfit in the mirror one more time, I decided that I looked presentable enough and picked up my clutch bag before leaving my bedroom making sure to turn my light off as I left. Since I've never been to a welcome back party (that was for Emma and Mary Margret only, it's like they forgot I went with them) I had no idea what to wear and I hoped I hadn't over done it.

Regina was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs and I watched as she fixed her black blazer so it looked straight

Regina was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs and I watched as she fixed her black blazer so it looked straight. She was wearing a purple blouse, black blazer, black pencil skirt, tights and black heels. She looked up once she heard me descend down the stairs and I saw a smile form on her lips.

"Be honest with me" I climb down from the last step. "Have I over done it?"

"No, you look lovely" She tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear. I didn't know what do with my hair so I curled it in loose waves and braided it around my head. My makeup was light and natural. "You really look like your father"

"I have his eyes" I smile a sad smile. "I miss him"

Regina nodded. "I miss him too" She pressed a kiss my to my forehead. "He would be so proud of you"

"Really"

She smiled. "Of course he would" We smiled at one another for a few moments before Regina shook her head and picked up a white dish. "You ready?"

I nod and link arms with her, we walk out of the house and I wait as she locks up before we set off the short walk to Grannies where the party would be held. A gentle conversation flowed out of our lips as we talked and laughed like good friends rather than mother and daughter. Even though we fight like cat and dog, I would be nowhere without my mother. I owe everything I am to her.

We were halfway there when I felt a chill go down my spine causing me to stop in my tracks and look around the dark street expecting to see someone but saw nothing. "Did you feel that?"

"Feel what?" Asked Regina. "The breeze? Yes, it's dropping colder. Must be nearing winter"

I shake my head. "Not that. That feeling of being watched, can you feel it?"

"No" She raised her eyebrow as she looked around. "There's no one there Jewel. I think being back in the Enchanted Forest for so long has done something to your mind. A good nights rest should fix it"

"Yeah" I look around again. "Maybe"

She grabs my arm and pulls me along the short distance to Grannies and soon enough, I spotted the neon sign outside. From the windows, you could see people already inside and laughter and chatter could be heard. Me and Regina shared a look before we walked up the small path and up the three steps and pushed open the door, as soon as we did everyone backed away from us with fear on their faces. The first people I see are Snow and Emma, Snow in a red dress and Emma in jeans and a T-shirt.
