Upon a cross so rugged, our Saviour died that day,
He was bruised and bleeding, but he did not plead
or cry.
He said Father please forgive them, for they know
not what they do.
Isn't it so wonderful that someone could love you so.
Jesus is waiting for us in Heaven, and I hope to join him
some day, and when I get to Heaven, this is what I'll say.
Jesus you are so wonderful, and I love you so, you are my
Rock of Ages, and I wanted you to know.
When I felt discouraged, and life was getting tough, I
thought about your courage, and the love you showed for
me. When my world was crumbling and being torn apart,
I felt your love surround me and heal my wounded heart.
You held my hand when I was scared, and held me close
when I hurt.
You lifted me up, when I had fallen in the dirt.
You've stayed close beside me when I've strayed,
Thank you Jesus , for dying for me that day.
