Tell me that you love me, tell me that you care,
Tell me there is no other, with whom your love
I'll share.
It doesn't matter if it's true, just as long as I'm
with you,
So put your arm's around me and hold me so
tight,
We won't worry about tomorrow, let's just
make it through tonight.
I've had other lover's and I believed their
lies,
They painted pretty pictures, and had
perfect alibi's.
But truth comes a creeping with the
morning light,
And their truths aren't a pretty sight.
So put your arms around me, and hold
me so tight,
Let's forget about tomorrow, and just
make it through tonight.
Sometimes that perfect lover is only in
our dreams,
A story book romance, or so that it seems,
But we go through the motions, hoping this time
that it's real,
But we don't really know if that's how they feel.
So put your arms around me and hold me
so tight,
We'll forget about tomorrow and just make
it through tonight.
