LIFE AS WE KNOW IT

The Holiday's have come and gone,

Our bank account is overdrawn.

Creditor's are calling at the crack of dawn,

They want their money, and won't leave us alone.

The cost of living raise that we were just given,

Doesn't even cover our cost of living.

There's medical deductibles and taxes are due,

It seem's the whole world is out to get you.

How can we ever get ahead working for minimum wage,

How can we convince our boss we need a raise.

While we struggle just to pay our bills, trying to keep our

cupboards filled,

They're not helping us up on Capitol Hill.

The Congressmen are off on some exotic trip,

While we are hoping that Friday's check doesn't

have a pink slip.

The President is off somewhere playing golf,

We keep our fingers crossed the power doesn't

get turned off.

A man struggles daily most of his life,

But it's totally worth it for his children and wife.
