Your POV

"Where have you been!?" Josh asked, worriedly. "I'm so sorry. My mom had to go to the shop and I had to look after my little brother" I explained as I walked up to him.

Today, me and my two best friends, Josh and Tyler, were going to the beach. We wanted to have a day off since we've all been pretty stressed out by school this week.
We've known each other for 6 years and, to be honest, we've created a pretty strong bond. I've secretly had a huge crush on josh for a while now. It was only last year that I developed feelings for him and I don't regret gaining them.

Josh told me and Tyler to meet at his house so we could take his moms car. When I got there, Tyler was already there sitting on the couch in the living room.

"It's ok. Let's go!" Josh shouted excitedly, picking up his bag. We all nodded and said goodbye to Josh's mom before walking out to the car.

I sat in the back and Tyler sat up front next to Josh. I looked out the window as Josh pulled out of the drive way. As we were driving down the road, I saw Tyler place his elbow on the console and lean over to Josh. Almost like he was talking about something he didn't want me to know about.

Tyler's POV

I leaned over on the console and whispered in Josh's ear, "So, when are you gonna tell her?" He shook his head. "I don't know, Tyler. Stop pressuring me" he replied, sternly. I chuckled silently and turned my face to look out the windshield.

Soon, the beach came in view and I heard Y/n squeal a little which made me smile. I turned my gaze from the windshield to Josh and saw his cheeks turn a light pink.

Once Josh pulled into the parking lot, we all got out of the car and headed towards the sand. We found a spot straight away since there weren't that many people there.

"Well I'm ready to get in" Y/n said cheerfully. Josh watched her as she took off her top and revealed her body in a navy blue swim suit. I nudged Josh's arm and he soon snapped out of it. He gave me a death glare and took off his shirt, standing beside Y/n.

Your POV

I slowly walked into the water with Josh and Tyler close behind. I got up to the point where I couldn't touch the ocean floor and started struggling with keeping my head above the surface of the water.

"Are you alright?" Josh looked over to me with a concerned look across his face. "Uh...y-yeah I'm fine" I stuttered. I gained some strength and lifted my head above the water and started to swim to the shore.
"Are you sure?" He asked more worriedly. "Y-yes" I said. I finally got up to the shore and flopped my wet body on the damp sand.

Josh followed my actions and lay down next to me, his wet body close to mine. I deeply breathed in and out staring at the blue, cloudy sky.

"Y/n?" He said quietly. "Yes, Josh?" I answered, sitting up and crossing my legs. "I-I uh...I wanted to ask you something and I really don't want it to ruin...anything" he sat up and crossed his legs too. By this point, I was freaking out. "Uh...sure go ahead" I fake smiled. "Uhm...I wanted to ask if-well I like you actually scratch that, I love you" he said quickly, mumbling the last words.

My eyes went wide, my jaw dropped, my face turned pale.

I stared out at the ocean, watching Tyler come up to us. "I-I love you too" I smiled. A look of happiness washed over his face before he pulled me in for a hug. I have to admit, it felt weird because both of us were drenched from swimming but it was so nice to be in his arms.

"Woah woah woah! What's happening here?" Tyler exclaimed as he came closer to us. We both pulled away from the hug and blushed from embarrassment. "We...uh" Josh started. "You guys are a thing now?!" Tyler yelled excitedly. Josh looked over to me, hope in his eyes. "I guess, if she says so" he chuckled. "Of course. I would love to" he smiled and hugged me.

He pulled away only to connect his lips with mine. I giggled as he playfully bit my bottom lip. "FINALLY! I have been waiting for this for ages!" Tyler shouted, making us both jump and pull back. Josh rested his forehead on mine and stared intently in my eyes.

"I love you, y/n y/l/n"
"I love you too, Joshua William Dun"
