"Remember, be on your very best behavior. Don't mess this up for me" Jane whispered to Grace before she opened her side of the car. She glanced up at her parents who stood in front of their door waving. It reminded Jane of a scene in a magazine, she rolled her eyes at the thought. She didn't want to be here, she'd rather be at home. She was not in the mood to be analyzed by her parents. She hoped she thought of everything when it came to Grace. She even gave her answers to some of the things her parents might ask her. If her parents asked how they met, she was simply to say that the two of them stayed in the same building. She'd feel in the rest. Her hopes were for Grace to keep her mouth shut, then maybe everyone would think that she was shy and wouldn't pester her with questions.

She walked to the back of the car and spotted her father coming there way. Popping the trunk of her car she didn't even have the chance to grab a bag before her father pulled her in for a hug.

"Hi Daddy" She whispered in his ear. She was a daddies girl, he was always a kind and caring man, which is how she knew her Mother was the one to impress to keep her apartment and her Job.

"Hello princess, it's so nice to see you again. It's been a while, how are you holding up?" Her questioned concern written all over his face.

"I'm fine father" She stated now that her mother has walked down to join them. "I'd like for you to meet my girlfriend Grace" Jane stated while directing her attention the teen who stood there nervously and gave a small wave. Jane glared at her because they went over this. Grace must have read her mind because she cleared her throat before saying,

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Ortega, it's a pleasure to met you" She reached out a hand and shook hands with her mother first. Then she shook hands with Jane's father.

"Darling, you can just call me John, and my wife here is Justine" Grace smiled, she thought it was cute that all three of their names started with a 'J'.

"We've been wanting to meet you since Jane told us about you" Justine stated.

"How about I help you lovely ladies with your luggage" John offered.

"Oh, nonsense Father, you have a bad back, remember" Jane stated before directing her attention to Grace. "Grace and I can carry our own things"

"That's my girl, so strong and independent" Justine praised. "But what do you think I have your father around for, it's not for his good looks" She added. John laughed.

"Why do you think I have Grace around, it's not for her good looks" Jane countered. They all had a laugh, except Grace. While Jane's parents may think that it's just a joke, Grace knew the truth. Jane hated her, that's why this three day weekend was so important. She had to do good and impress not only Jane's parents but Jane as well.

Maybe then she'll receive forgiveness.
