"Hey, wake up! Today's the day.". I hear Gemma's voice as she shakes me awake.
"Ugh," Harry grunts, throwing the covers over me and wrapping me in his arms, "5 more minutes?" he asks, Gemma.
"No, she needs to get ready now and so do you, wouldn't want Eden's mom to know you're sleeping with her daughter now would we?"
"Is that a crime? I'm sure she wouldn't mind if she knew we were just sleeping," says Harry.
"Haha yeah she would," I get up to go get dressed.
After we've all gotten ready for my mother's arrival we all sit on the couch in the living room, anxiously waiting.
"We should probably turn on the telly or something so that we don't seem so strange," suggests Gemma.
"That sounds good," Anne turns on the local news channel. As we turn it on an X Factor add comes on and just as I'm about to say something about Harry's upcoming audition he gives me a stern look signaling that he doesn't want me to tell.
"It's a surprise," he whispers.
Everyone jumps when we hear a knock at the door. Gemma rushes to get it and we all follow close behind. She opens the door to find my mother who stands frozen at first until her eyes meet mine and she doesn't hesitate to embrace me into a big, tight hug.
"Come in come in, would you like some tea?" asks Anne.
"Oh yes please," says my mom.
"How was the plane?" asks Anne.
"It was fine, a little tiring but not too bad."
"Hey, I'm going to go get Eden's boxes from upstairs," says Harry heading up to Gemma's bedroom.
"Do you know where you'll be staying, Ms. Nolle?"asks Gemma.
"Until we find an apartment or something small we'll be staying at a hotel the Bernard found us.
"You're more than welcome to stay here if you'd like," says Anne.
"No, that'll be fine but thank you anyway."
"We sure are gonna' miss her," smiles Gemma.
"Especially Harry," laughs Anne.
"I'm just glad she had some family to come home to," my mom says.
"I should go help Harry with the boxes," I suggest.
"Harry? Need any help?"
"No, I'm good," he grunts trying his best to lift a box.
"Let me help you," I snicker.
"Nope I've got it." As he says that the box drops to the ground with a big thud.
"Let me help you," I insist taking one end of the box.
"I'm going to miss you, you know?" he says as we make our way downstairs.
"I know but we'll still go to school together."
"But I won't have you to hold at night."
"It's better than not having me at all."
"You will come to my audition won't you?" he asks.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world," I smile.
Little did I know what would occur in the week to follow....
