VAMPIRE ON THE RUN

'Did you watch today's news?' Kevin asked me as he took a seat beside me. Clara sat opposite to me and replied 'about the vampire right?'

'Yeah' he nodded.

'We all talked about it during the class. Today we had a free period' I grinned.

He frowned a little 'why is it that you guys are getting free periods recently?'

'Our teacher is getting her baby and you know... no one is willing to come to our class' I sighed.

'Because you all are famous for being the so called delinquents?' he chuckled.

'Everyone is' Clara smiled.

'So back to vampire fellow' he became more serious, but was interrupted by Terence and Travis.

'Ya all! Let me in to this conversation' they all crowded near our table.

Once we were all settled Kevin began 'alright so this vampire keeps biting and sucking people's blood. So far only two victims were found. But what about the five missing people?'

'It's bad right?' Travis said 'this is mass murder. Not to mention. FBI is also now involved with this'

'We should be careful when we go out. This 'vampire' I raised my hand and bend down the first two fingers to represent the quotation. 'Is heterosexual'

That made everyone laugh. They thought I was going to say something serious but ended up referring to his or her gender preference.

Which is actually important here. Out of the seven people that were missing. Four were men and the others were women. And according to dad who spoke about this at breakfast said that they all were healthy people. Leading a very healthy life.

'The vampire liked good blood huh' Terence said.

We all talked about it for a while not necessarily planning to hunt for the vampire. The FBI was in this case and we were to also hunt, then it will be the end of their career. I laughed at the thought.

I went home and locked myself inside the room. I got out of my uniform and with only my lingerie and knee high stockings I jumped on to the bed. I was about to fall asleep when I felt something... caressing from top of my backbone and down. I jolted up suddenly. I was half asleep so I thought I was being paranoid. Just then I saw the two roses inside the vase.

They never wilted. It has been three days after I saw that man. I never once felt any presence of evil or anything like that. And I just couldn't let myself to throw those away. Even though I knew they were different from the normal roses. They never wilted. They just blossomed all morning and when night comes, they just close up to a bud. Just that.

I heard a soft knock on the door 'Sarah. Aron is here' Terence said.

'Yeah I'm coming down. Just give me a minute' I called out and hurried to take all of my cloths before taking a shower.

We all got seated near the counter as usual.

'Gary' Aron was swiping down his screen and then clicked to a picture 'took pictures of the woman he had seen'

'What?' I asked shocked 'he saw the woman first?'

'Yeah. He took pictures before the police arrived last night. Gary is my coworker' he said before anyone could ask the identity of Gary.

'Wow' I leaned in more to see the woman. It was clear that she was a beautiful lady who led a healthy life. Her body was toned up and pale. There were bite mark where the fangs dug in deep into her neck. This was like out of a movie.
